Ouch, obviously your only option is outside. A locked secure shed in the barn, a locked secured containor on a truck ect and thats the best its gonna get. If i had a barn id be digging a basement or buiding an electronic lock actuated shed. Just do like an 8x8 shed. Isolate 3x8 and use it for a generator/room intake and exhaust and have both ends of the shed electronically lock from the inside. Use a car alarm or something. Hit me up if you need wiring help.

If I myself owned the house I would have an underground bunker dug and growing. . No problem. . But it's the in-laws place
