I need a SILENT fan. Can someone help please :)

I just picked up an AC Infinity Cloudline T4 that's pretty damn quiet. I have it in an armoire that is approximately the size of yours and on its medium setting I can barely hear it running. I do have the armoire in my basement, so total silence isn't a huge need.

search for transformer fan controller. there are also full auto tr.controllers like GSE or CLI-MATE. I use manual step trafo controller one from local producer. It really decreases hum in comparison with frequency/digital controllers.

I also use silencer which I put right after fan.

So ive got a problem. 2 fans and $450 later Im still not happy with the fan I have.

So far I started out with a 6inch Silenced Hyperfan. I was not happy with the high pitch occilating whine sound like a jet engine.

So I threw it in the bin and got an 8inch Silenced Hyperfan, in hope to run it a lowest speed and not have any sound. Instead it also has a Whine noise, particulary at lower speeds.

I grow with a 315w CMH in a 4x2x6 wardrobe. I have acoustic ducting and a carbon filter, so the Air Movement sound is not an issue.

The other problem is that the 8inch Hyper fan with the silencer is about 22inchs long and 10inch round! I have had to construct a giant box that sits on top of the drobe, but its just ridiculous and overkill for such a small space.

I keep getting mixed reports on weather or not Mixed Flow fans make more or less noise than Centifugal fans. Also the fact that Hyperfan is chinese made, maybe be the issue.

I have heard this whine/whistle jet engine noise on every hyperfan I have come across, but thwen have been in other people grow rooms over the years and some of them have silent fans.. I have no idea what they were, but i know this does exist!

I have come across the Blaubergs at a good price... Either the Turbo G or Centro G... Can anyone tell me if these things are silent operators?

I really need something small, 6inch is maximum, would prefer 4 inch! but this will make a lot of noise compared to a 6inch i understand... What if I get a 4 or 5inch and sound insulate the shit out of it and run at ful speed?

Im really out of options and its pissed the hell out of me for the past 2 years! Need this problem solved..

Another thing is that I cannot see any fans in person. I am disabled and do not leave the house much, I am also pretty far away from major shops.

crappy speed controllers make the fan product a high pick buzz when set to lower speeds and can set on fire
best bet is to get a 8inch fan or bigger with a good speed controller then running at low speed with silencer and insulated ducking is probably best you can get. you could maybe make a insulated box around the fan it self

Google inline duct fan "silent series" this is the unit you want. Not cheap but under 20db at full throttle. All but silent on low. Will pull trough any carbon filter with no issue's. Not a small unit. You have to splice in a thermostat into the power cord as the fan is designed to come on at full rpm when the setting on the fan is triggered. With the thermostat spliced in it will run at whatever rpm you set it at. Which in your case would be very minimal rpm's needed.

I have this one as well and its very quiet. I can only really hear it on the highest setting and it has i think 6 diff speed settings.

I have an S&P TD-SILENT 350 ø125mm, it's pretty quiet with acoustic ducting, but still not as quiet as the three speed Canfan Iso-Max fans I used to have. If your fan isn't shaped like the Iso-Max, it's probably not going to be quiet.

I have a 2x3 tent wit a noisy 4" fan, but my flower room has a AC Infinity Cloudline 6" 350cfm that makes way less noise. thermostat control, emergency on for high heat, etc. I mounted it and the cannister securely to a board, then mounted the board to the wall.

As stated by a couple others AC Infinity is your best bet. The AC Infinity t4 with humidity and temp control with an s4 connected to it is the way to go for least noise...ac infinity is a high end audio equipment cooling fan system manufacturer and they're quality is top notch will not be disappointed

I went with the AC Infinity CLOUDLINE S6, 8 speeds , very quite even on high speed. Great fan so far .I have not hooked my filter to it yet . Keeps temps down in my 5x5 .
