I may be in trouble.

February 14 I had ordered a glass water pipe from excellent-pipes.com and had it sent to my girls house as her dad is never home. Now, to our surprise a letter has come in the mail telling us we need to pick it up and sign something. Now, I've heard of people getting letters to go sign something to be arrested and was wondering if I could be arrested for being caught buying a water pipe online.

Buying a water pipe is not illegal. Is it a yellow slip from the Post Office? If so, it just means you need to sign for your package and you were not home to do so. I would not be concerned about signing for it since what you bought is NOT illegal.

You just need to go pick it up and sign for it. The cops aren't waiting at the post office just to bust you for some glass. You cannot get in trouble for buying a water pipe.

The service that was delivering the package was ordered by the sender to get a signature on drop-off- this is how they keep you from bullshitting them and claiming you never got the product. Usually really expensive stuff like computers get this treatment, but very fragile things do too. It's also to keep it off the front porch where it could be stolen/broken/damaged.

Basically, it's fine. Go sign for your box and pick it up. They don't even know what's in it.

I went through the same thing to get my computer. They wouldn't leave it on the porch b/c it was worth $$$$ and we were also never home when they could deliver.

You should be fine, as long as its for "tobacco". But I really doubt they are waiting for you.... Go pick up your pipe, and enjoy!

As you probably now know. If a package cannot be delivered and signed for at your front door depending on the way it was sent then you'll be left with a letter in your letterbox letting you know that they made and attempt to deliver but no one was home. You can now pick it up from your local PO and sign for it. Reason you sign for it is so that you prove it was recieved by the correct person etc etc

U should be fine, but then again this is exactly how they got my friend on mailing weed. They told him his "package" had arrived and that he needed to go sign for it. Well he shows up and tells them his name and that he wants his package. They tell him to take a seat and wait. Well he waited alright, waited for the police to show up and arrest him! If they tell you to "wait" get the fuck outta there asap!
