I have been having continuous problems with my plants fan leaves.

The plants are in their 2nd week of flower and growing nicely. I have gotten over 4" of growth in the last week and the tops look beautiful!!

However, I have been having a continuing problem with the drying and dying of the lower fan leaves.

I am on a 12/12 light schedule and was on a 4 hour feeding schedule. Today I bumped that up to a 3 hour schedule of 4am,7am,10am,1pm,3pm. I am using General hydropinics nutrients and flooding from a 40 gallon resevoir. The room has a co2 level of 1500ppm.

I am currently at a batch of GH with 5ppm per gallon of micro, bloom&grow per gallon of nutes which is about 4 days old. I added 1.25 ppm/gallon of each last night to see if I could stop the yellowing, wilting and dying.

The current mix is ph 5.6 and the PPM is 1280. The temps are 78-82 degrees.

I mix a batch of nutes and the plants seem to do well for 3-4 days. Then the bottom fan leaves start to turn yellow and get brown along the margins and that progresses until the leaves die and fall off.

The tops look beautiful but I can see the stress working its way up the plants.

any suggestions?

This is my first grow which is why I am unsure of this. However, I am running 5 ppm of each bloom, grow, and micro which is 1/2 of the recommended dose given by GH on the bottle for transitioning to bloom. I am worried that I am too light on bloom nutes but just dont know.

The leaves above the damaged ones are going the same way.. healthy green to lighter then flat looking and start to die on the edges. I thought nute burn would show up immediately at the edges of the leaves.

I use the lucas formula and I add cal mag+, floralicious plus and hygrozyme. Im DWC and I am 3 weeks into flower with a SSH strain and I run my ppm around 1500-1700 with no problems. Anything above that and the leaves curl on me. I kinda think it may be MG or K. just my unexpert idea.

OK I'm going to throw my hat into the mix. You answered your question already you say the plants do good for 3-4 days after a nutrient change. So change your nutrient every 4th day. And pull back on the grow& bloom and go to bloom and micro. Less is sometimes more. 1000 ppm is good till the 4th week of flower and will really be good to finish with unless you want the max weight possible. Ok now what to do use some seaweed mix on the leafs every week. I use maxi grow because I'm cheap but advanced makes a mix that is great. This is where the plant can get some of the minor nutrients the root can't take up. There to busy using the others in your res. I hope this helps. Just my opinion.

I am by no means an expert, but arent the fans suppose to yellow and die during flower due to the lowering of nitrogen and raise in P? Looks like every plant i've ever grown. Completely natural. Proper flowering means cut back on the N. Yellowing will ensue. Looks good by the way.

not in week 2
it occurs from week 6 onwards
ur leaves appear to be nute burn, but i am not a hydro grower nor do i have any knowledge on "PPM" (parts per million??)

Ty for clearing that up. The more knowledge i collect here, the sillier the grin on my face after harvest. Good info.
