I have some "Melt Hash"? I think... help me! PICS INSIDE!

Ok, so i got some hash today, im not an expert in hash and rarely mess with it but i came across a good deal today on some and the dude was tellin me this and that about microns and trichons and whatever the hell else, but he said it was "melt hash" and was made with ice or something of that nature, i took a picture as you can see below, he told me one was 120 microns? and another was 20 or 25 microns? he said he got the hash tested somewhere and it was close to 69% THC content and 1.45 CBD, So at this point I am lost, and also, how much does this stuff go for per gram? someone told me 15-20 per gram is a good price for it (not what i payed by far), I did try some, took two hits in a glass pipe with a metal screen and it started to bubble up right away and looked kinda like it was melting i guess, i couldnt finish it I was stoned, and have been for a good hour and a half, so i know its good but dont know what hell the micron difference is.. all the hash is soft, none of it is hard, kinda like taffy in a way.. soo

1. What is the difference between 120 micron and 20 micron?
2. Melt hash, bubble hash, full melt, ice water, WTF is it?
3. How much does this stuff go for by gram and also by the oz.?

If anyone can help me with these questions (i know they might be stupid but hey this is gotta be the best place to find answers! the pot cafe!) id greatly appreciate it, thanks!

I know in the pics it says 25 Microns but it could be 20, I could not tell the writing on the bag it was either 20 or 25 i dont know if there is a big difference, my pics wouldnt upload to rollitup so i just got pics linked from my photobucket

Those numbers are the size of a certain screen.. probably bubble bag sizes although doesn't look like bubble hash to me, more like gumby.. but I'm still relatively new to hash, I've only been around it for about a year now so my experiences have been limited.

Segway: I've come to realize that hash, from making to consuming, is a delicate art form that surpasses the relative ease of growing/smoking. Still, as with anything that takes time and energy, it will pay off when finished correctly.

I already answered that above but it's probably gumby or maybe some wet not filtered many times through a small number of bags bubble hash (coincidentally close to gumby IMO.. and then the NEXT closest to that method would be dry ice sieve.. which pretty obviously not what you have there, which looks moist.)

Depends on the quality. You really want to get a pro in here like Matt Rize or Sr. Verde.. they've been dabbing a lot longer than me.. but if it has at least the potency of sieved hash (which would be less than the so claimed "tested percentage.." Do you even know where (s)he went to get that sh!t tested? I'm relatively certain it's either very difficult to do without tools, the lab and a tech who's been trained to do so (but I don't know your people man, hopefully they did go that far.)

I asked the guy again today, he said it is "Melt" made from ice, and he had it tested at steephill lab in oakland, You said it didnt look like it was made from dry ice? but he said he just used "ice", i dunno, does it look like Melt that was made from ice? I'm just making sure i wasnt taken on this deal

The 120 is designed to screen out mature trichomes. Notice that the 120 doesn't have much green? The 25 is a very fine mesh and has picked up immature/brokem trichomes and a fair bit of leaf dust. Imo whoever bubbled that batch absolutely creamed the raw material in a naked bid for yield, not quality.
I would smoke the 25 first ... many enzyes from crushed plant cells are busily turning your goods into varnish. freeze the 120 against that rainy day when you've smoked up all the 25. Jmo. cn

So throw the 120 in the freezer? is the 120 worth $15-$20 a gram? I traded 2 oz of outdoor bud for 33.5 grams of that hash, 14 grams of 120 micron, 19.5 grams of 25 micron, and why should the 120 go in the freezer and not the 25? Will the 120 will turn into garbage if i dont? also, he said it was tested at steephill lab in oakland with thc% 68.9 and cbd 1.44, does the hash in the pics look like it might be that potent? i know it does get me pretty twisted fairly easily... thanks ! and sorry for the hundered and one questions but i got one more, You said look at how green the 25 is compared to the 120, so is darker hash better then lighter hash per say? maybe there is a Hash Expert on here somewhere

I can't answer your cost/value questions ... it's worth "what someone will pay". I was assuming "personal consumption". I'm recommending the freezer so the hash will keep longer. As for potency, I have only one data point ... the Cindy bubble i made was 82% THC. I know because I ran the assay.
Hash being light or dark depends on strain ... to see the tastiest, most connoisseur-appealing bubble in a variety of shades, look at Matt Rize's ice wax pr0n thread!! But good hash imo has yellows, browns shading into full-on chocolate ... but no or little green. cn

Brah, you forgot to break up your hash. It would have looked like this if you would have finished the process. There are many steps that you can step up. Check out my giant tutorial thread.

No, don't freeze it. Especially because its probably over 10% moisture, and when you pull it out of the freezer it will sweat. I would break it up as much as possible and let it finish drying.
