If you have non-stop rain, you may not have much succes. I lived and grew in Ocala years ago and it rained every day at 3:00 PM for about 10 minutes during the Summer. Like clockwork. Soil there is nothing but sand, so I dug holes and filled them with soil and compost. Cops found my grow and chopped all but four when they were waist high. Those four grew to 12 feet high with no care what-so-ever. This was so long ago I don't remember when I planted, but I think it was early March.

Doesn't matter where on earth you are photoperiod applies unless you are on autos. I suggest you wait until April to plant so you could pop your seeds this month and plant mid April and get a full season in.
Plant too early and you may get plamts flowering then revegging. The beauty of Florida is you can plant again in August and get 2 crops in.

I live in aus but from tampa myself, yeah I could plant anytime but if I planted in oct or nov I'd have pretty small crappy buds. I'll have to say in my opinion April and August are pretty much spot on for planting. But whatever works best for you mate it's all good.i miss florida I'll be back in Bay Area for six weeks April may. Good luck on Yer crop.

Just wondering: autoflower might help with long photo season. Sandy soil will drain well, so maybe don't prep with much soil; but mulch if heaped up will allow decent run off and late in heat season it will keep some moisture? Maybe put Small camouflage tarp over to keep torrential rain from hammering them? Maybe just harden them off for a couple weeks before transplant to site. I have no experience, just throwing suggestions out for seasoned growers to comment on. Peace.

Yeah I have a bunch of "sun bulbs" made by Phillips. Blue bulbs from home Depot about 60w each I'll harden them...get some fans going all this young and in my closet and then I figure I'm gonna do in ground bags for some....pots for others.... aND straight earth for a particularly secure spot I have. ;)
so far. "The plan"
10 spots . .
might start germ today

The MULCH WAS recommended by a VERY successful indoor guy, who happens to pass off his greenhouse outdoor as indoor. He is good but states his lack of desire to get into it...even thru my turned linguistics.
I SWEAR California turns EVERYONE into small gov's loving, paranoid, antisocial, shit in the woods...oddballs haha. I pee outside every chance I get. But deuces takes EXTRA EFFORT, wheras my yellow rain is just easier. ...

I am WAY too light greedy to tarp. If I could afford the material that allows the spectrum I need through and could waterproof it I would.
Autoflower is OUT as seeds are already acquired and I had to spend $850.00 for a cross that is a GM Armageddon x skunk feminized. Good for OD. Looking into mulch as my MOTHER HASNT BEEN US ING IT FOR 30 YEARS FOR NOTHING HAHA. THANKS MAN. Research research research. Phone calls. "What is your experience with this...?...that?"

I remember reading a decade and a half ago that "mj is a weed and should grow well almost anywhere under the worst of conditions" at 15 this seemed like a reasonable statement. Until I ran into things like bud rot...maintaince men, mothers (mine), mites, bunnies, homeless woods dwellers, hikers, LE.
IM HAPPY TO GET 5 OF MY 10 SITES. ....

I have been trying for two years to find the right time....Seems like July/Aug is planting season. Look at when you tend to have a dry spell regularly in the weather pattern. Count back from there. If that time is late winter, you can run 12/12 style grows...with plant ripening @ around 120 day from seed.
