It's only called a Bloom if it actually blooms from the roasted coffee beans being fresh enough to release CO2. Usually within just a few weeks from roast date, or less, the co2 has depleted and the lack of a decent bloom is indicative of its lack of freshness. Most ppl don't bother checking roast date and most store (whole bean) coffee doesn't make roast date available.

Find a good local roaster if u want to start experiencing fresh coffee

I get that bloom with a french press, with Costco beans, roasted weekly in Anchorage lol. Didn't know what it was called but if it blooms its always a delicious and aromatic brew. I knock it down/stir it, steep 3-4 minutes, pressand pour it straight in the stainless vac thermos. Stays hot and fresh, definitely doesn't get old/burnt/shitty.

I had to mix up a batch this morning. Since they were out of the cabinet, I snapped a picture. The blend I did today is 80% decaf. I was aiming for 82.25% but my math left me there for a minute. I just brewed up a pot on the old Black & Decker pot here at work.

Avo's yes, blue note I don't think so, sadly. Other great stuff to see tho! And drink!
