Most commercial honey buns are loaded with unhealthy ingredients such as enriched bleached flour, artificial flavors, and hydrogenated oils.

For example Little Debbie Big Pack Honey Buns:
Ingredients: Enriched bleached flour (wheat flour, barley malt, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid) water, sugar, palm oil, partially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oil with TBHQ to preserve flavor, dextrose, yeast. Contains 2% or less of each of the following: soy flour, nonfat dry milk, dried honey, eggs, cinnamon, cocoa, wheat starch, partially hydrogenated soybean and/or cottonseed oil, leavening (baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate), corn starch, soybean oil, salt, calcium stearoyl lactylate, calcium carbonate, agar, emulsifiers (datem, mono- and diglycerides, soy lecithin), calcium sulfate, calcium propionate and potassium sorbate, ascorbic acid, azodicarbonamide, calcium peroxide, amylase enzymes, natural and artificial flavors (contains lemon), colors (annatto extract, titanium dioxide, turmeric).

it could have been a breeder's own made up name. i didn't see anything with a quick keyword search other than a member in some forum that chose the name. there's plenty of sweet strains out there. it could be a cross with sweet tooth which has a gingerbread flavor if i remember right.

try reading EVERY strain description you can at several seedbanks to see what strains sound closest to what you're looking for then research what you can with grow and smoke reports to sort through any BS and hype and ask everyone here for opinions on the breeders that have strains you're interested in.

looking quickly with attitude's search engine, there's a barney's honey B strain and even better sounding, holy smokes' black honey haze. i liked what i saw from HS' malawi gold before i burned it accidentally forgetting to turn my fan on one night.

then there's maple leaf indica. that's a strain that lives up to it's name and flavor. it was one of the 4 strains used for mother's finest, so it can't be shabby.

oh, while more dairy than honey, sour cream has a nice slightly fruity sweet cream cheese flavor that could easily be used to breed up some kind of pastry treat strain i bet. i can almost picture that crossed with a gingerbread strain to be kind of honeylike as gingerbread is already very similar tasting to honey and sour cream should sweeten it up even more. it would be a delicious combo at least if you got the right phenos.

that's the best i can help you find that strain it sounds like someone just renamed. you'll have no problems finding sweet strains with all manner of fruity flavors if you look hard enough. good luck

i'd already forgotten the title when i read the post as it implied he saw the strain and not that you were actually in possession of it. there's no info on such a strain, so again, i'd say it's either a home brewed strain, or a grower renaming one as many like to do. i've noticed a lot of growers don't like revealing what strains they have for some reason. maybe they're afraid of word getting out like... yeah... that dude up in northtown has some black honey haze. try reading descriptions for the two names i gave you and see if either one matches what you have.

it's almost impossible to name a strain with 100% accuracy unless it has a totally distinctive flavor no otyher strain does like durban poison's licorice or lavender
