You are also wrong my friend....you aren't looking for the color of the HAIRS...jeez...maybe you should go over your grow bible again. It's the color of the TRICHOMES. The tiny little mushroom looking things. They will either be clear, cloudy, or amber...You want about 50% cloudy, 50% amber...the more amber you go, the more of a couch lock the high will be.
and if ya read two more posts down u woud of seen yes i agree its also about trichrome color but obviously this guy is a newb and picked his shit way to early cause it was pretty and white and since im assuming he does not have a 60x magnifying glass a good rough way to tell is and i quote "

I tried to end the argument, but some children just don't get it. I take no offense to anything he says, as I don't know him, nor do i care to. Yeah, he was right about the pistils turning brownish or red...but...if you wanna do it right...check the trichomes. Dude needs to chill.

I had to pull plants a couple weeks early on a previous grow and actually loved the high. Super clear getting stuff done high. Not trippy, not couchlock, but way too early.

Yeah sometimes it's nice to have that high.
Personally I usually harvest twice. I pull some plants earlier when about 60% of triches are cloudy and 40% are clear.
Then I wait longer with my other plants and harvest at the 50% amber, 50% cloudy stage. Two different highs from the same plant.
When the triches are turning amber it's actually the THC turning to CBN to give you the couch lock high, technically the cloudy triches are the THC rich ripe ones, the amber is actually over ripe, but that being said it really depends on the high you want. I like the both depending on what I'm doing.
