I don't believe in time travel, but I can't completely explain this photo.

My friend and I got into a debate over the existence of time travel. He showed me this photo along with others. This photo was the only one I could not debunk.

Is there anyone here who knows of a T-shirt that was obscurely printed in the 1940s with the letter W? I was thinking a Volkswagen t-shirt? I've looked everywhere but according to record, and despite the process being invented in the early 1900s, no printed tees were put into production until the 1950s. I studied the shadow on his ear, and can account for that because his ear is much larger than the other more contemporary people in the photo. Also, the the photo is documented by historical agencies as being accurate and original.

According to my online Googling, it is not photoshopped. I'm so curious about it, I sent the historical museum in the area an email asking them to verify online claims that the photo is indeed authentic. No telling if they will respond though.

The guy leaning on the car?
If so, I would say it's just a crumple in his suit.
He's leaning on the car so his jacket wouldn't fit right.
The guy nearest the front has a V crumple but it's easy to see.

In 2010, a Russian Documentary crew was able to track down the original photo. It was not shopped. It just looks anachronistic.

I think if he WAS a time traveler, between his vocabulary and his clothing people in THAT decade would be staring at him and his attire rather then the vehicle. He very well could've been an inventor of some sort, or a sc-fi geek , made his own clothing.. I mean it is black and white photo . It is possible he created the clothing himself, invented a way to make graphics on t-shirts, ect ect how can you be absolutely 100% positive its a printed t-shirt I can barely make out the guy in front clearest to me, it simply may NOT be printed but only looks that way

That isn't a t-shirt. It's a woolen vest with the letter of his alma mater. He is either a collegiate athlete or a member of another type of lettered organization. Kind of like today's Letterman's Jackets. It's woven. Possibly homespun.

I liked your comment for it's logic, and for the reason that you are prob right. But I now resent you for taking the mystery out of this photo.

Either way, time travel is proven to be possible. Stephen Hawking has proven you can NOT travel back in time but you CAN travel into the future.
