sounds like tap is your only choice. i would contact your water company and have them give you a water analysis (i think they have to provide if asked).

if it has chlorine in it, i think its best to let it sit for 24hrs before using to let the chlorine dissipate.

I've used tap water for years, but the water quality differs from place to place. Try it out.

Leave the chlorine in the water...if its safe to drink it wont harm the plants.

You can get a booster pump to make the RO more efficient. I needed one because our water pressure so low. Get a water quality report..might be able to find it online through local gov websites. I ran tap water for years, without bubbling the chlorine out no problems and i was running a living soil.

I run a sterile RDWC...I'm aim for 3-4 ppm free chlorine. Not using an ORP meter, just a calculation. Had water temps in low 80's for several days before with no issues. I only chill to increase dissolved oxygen.

Its not that bad, the little extra nitrate-N wont hurt. Its moderately hard which most european nutes are geared for.

Buy some 38 gallon plastic garbage cans and store up the water til you need it. You should have a week between res changes.

You made a very broad statement. The very broad statement was wrong. Chlorine is NOT ideal or okay for "the plants". Cannabis is a VERY tolerant plant and just because chlorine is tolerated does not mean it does not stun or harm the plant on SOME level.

Chlorine sterilization is normal practice at any commercial greenhouse using hydroponics.

That does not prove that the plants are not affected by it. It proves they tolerate it. They certainly dont do better with it.

I'm not getting into a organic vs sterile debate....Its all about acceptable levels of chlorine. Its proven, cheap and effective when done properly.

False. If you are trying to grow organically than chlorine and chlorimine destroy the beneficial bacteria, fungi, and other microorganisms.

IDK..I know what people like to say..but.. i ran organic for years both for my Mj and my garden. I used to have a few 55gal drums with rain water, or id fill and let them sit, for watering, Plants did good. Then last year I got lazy and just watered from the hose..still in my own mixed soil..and i had better crops all the way around last year than the years before. I' sure there are other factors, but from what your saying it should have negatively effected them. Plants need chlorine in trace amounts, in my case i think the large amount of soil, i just plant in the ground, was able to buffer the chlorine. A 5 gal bucket of soil could be compromised..i guess.. I haven't seen it. I used chlorinated tap water to make compost teas many times with no adverse effects either..

stick with tap water. just leave the bucket of tap water outside in sunshine 24hours to get rid of some chlorine. you'll have some calcium and other elements in there. No need for cal-mag. Just add inorganic nutes & your ph will be sweet.
