Hey guys, new contributor, long time lurker here. I'm wrapping up my third little grow and somehow still struggling with the when to chop question. I broke down and got a Carson zOrb digital microscope yesterday thinking that would give me the answers. Still nope. Please help me with your opinions! The attached photos are all from one bud cluster on a SexBud plant by Female Seeds. She has turned out to be the star of my little garden and I can't wait (but I can wait if I should!) to try her. :hump:

Today marks day 60 from when I switched to 12/12 after 5 weeks in veg. The breeder claims 75 days seed to harvest and 8 weeks flowering time. I didn't take note of the exact day pistils started stacking but I know it was less than 2 weeks. The phenotype I got appears to be overtly sativa dominant with thin, long fingery leaves. LuvBud was a late bloomer compared to the others I was running at the same time but has outshined everyone in the end: Critical+ 2.0, an old free seed of Black Domina x G13 (or G13 Haze?) and Sensi's Northern Lights #5 x Haze. I had to cut down NL5 x Haze on day 20 due to a shitload of pollen sacks EVERYWHERE. I had a couple of timer mishaps and everyone but the free seed grew at least a few ladyballs. I picked those off over the course of a few days and they re-stabilized. Whew! The Sensi was sadly beyond redemption.

Too much info and I could keep going but this shit's exciting! The other two surviving plants are a done deal - probably too soon. I hope you guys will let me know what you think on the photos of my lil LuvBud who I call "Prudence."

I have a timing dilemma to make things worse. I pretty much have to either chop this week or wait til June 7.:confused::confused: The goal... getting the most of everything the plant can offer.

Thank you! :peace: :weed: :peace:

I think you're a couple weeks away still, and I see some clear trichomes. now or june 7? june 7 for sure
The day has arrived. I'm still not 100% she is ready but I'm also worried about some degradation. I'm seeing a little bit of ambering and some straight up withering trichomes. I was out of town for a week. The plant started popping new pistils/calyces in the form of foxtails all over. What do you think from these trich pics today? I tried getting only the older calyces in vew. My drip res ran out of water and soil was dry but not bad enough for any wilting. Temps in there have stayed 73-79 degrees during the "day" with "nights 64-70. Is that too cold?

My gut says it's time and quality is starting to degrade but things aren't as cloudy as I was expecting and these new pistils are really throwing me. Eek! Help? :weed: :peace: :weed:

I'll try to get some full cola pics tonight at light's out. These macros are from a sample side branch I cut down.

I see no amber, some clouding, and very little solid milk.
I would have to wait till solid milk occurs or bust
Thank you so much for your help, Chem! They look done to me outside those trich pics. :hump: Must resist? Photos below.

Done in my opinion, you are always gonna have people saying one or two more weeks and that other picture of your trics has PLEANTY of amber, just look at the tric heads, they are amber and cloudy.

I do not regret my choice. Trying for the first time a small branch I forgot I cut off 2 weeks ago to sample. Ohhhh my geeesh if the final product is half as good as this not-even-really-cured amanzingness I'll be a happy farmer. From the pics 2 weeks ago vs now it looks like it will be twice as good. Any more than that I'm not sure I could handle! Yodaweed, thank you. Owe you I do.
