Indagro is really close to the house. Would love to go and visit facilities. The pontoon is interesting. Notice any difference in quality or size?
bud size is about the same as everything else. Under ig more trichomes, lower growth is more dense. Better color. Higher potency.

any chance we can get a lab test confirming potency? i totally believe
you, but anecdotal statements like that can confuse folks just looking to
break into new age technologies. a comparison between your pontoon
and the a51 would be awesome also.

ill be getting lab tests next month. I'm convinced the uvb and possibly the 660 make for more potent buds. Also there is far more trichome development under the ig. My last batch was very strong. Even too strong for me. I've been smoking regularly for 20 years.

What are you feeding them....? They dont look deficient... The way the edges of the leaves are.... They look burnt
maybe the lights too close. The burns showed up a few days after the rust spots (cal defs). The soil is rols and was amended during veg with crab meal, alfalfa meal, neem meal, kelp meal, rock dust, oyster shell flour.

this is also the 2nd time ever I have had calcium defs in the garden. One before was the plushberry from seed pink pheno.

Nah....for me...those arent light burns....nutrient burns

Maybe amended a little too much...?

Yeah you might have a lockout now...too much goodness...

I added the same I always added. Burns would have showed up over a month ago if it were burns. Cal def and potassium def. Can look like burns. Under the led it looks like red burns but its actually brown (for sure sign of defs). I doubt its lock out. I think its lacking in potassium and cal. They're just heavy feeders. I've seen the same thing happen with a friend purple kush. He ended up having to triple the amount of cal he was giving them per my advice. It took 3 batches to figure out how much extra cal he needed. Some strains use a shit load a cal. And we all know plants under led use more cal than under hps. I wasn't prepared for it. Oh well.. Next round will.be better. The buds are still frosty, dense, sticky and stinky. Good color too. They're still getting more chunky and flopping more. . Lock.out is a domino effect causing multiple defs and lock outs and growing to cease. They're still growing.

you added the same you always added, but what is the rate of
decay? re-amending isn't even necessary sometimes IME with
ROLS.

crab shell meal takes a long time to break down from what i
know about it. that degree of not knowing is what pushed me
to plant based cultivation and using composts that were
decomposed in two stages. examples would be mushroom
compost (first stage the fungus breaks the material down,
second is bacterial when i do a "traditional" compost) and EWC.
worms help the soil food web to further break down the material
that bacteria have already been munching. alfalfa and other
plant based amendments break down pretty quickly if your bin
is warm.

before you add more stuff to your soil, consider a soil test if you
have the $ for it. last thing i would want to do in my garden is spend
more money exacerbating a problem i could have fixed for the
cost of a bale of straw or whatever organic material i wanted to
use as a cutting agent.

i agree with you, it appears to be a calcium def, but an oz of
prevention is worth a pound of the cure!

oh, and if you ever find the real ORGNKID banana OG clone, be
prepared to just dump the damn whole bottle of calmag on her. :)

I amend less than the soil mix of course. The same I've always topdressed with rols. I topped vermicompost on top of the nutes plus compost teas and seed sprout enzyme teas. The sst's break down everything faster than normal. Crab meal breaks down a lot faster than bone meal, blood meal, and guano.. the younger plants were amended with 25% more nutes and vermicompost so those should have less issues. I also ran out of nutes. The oyster shell flour is harder to find locally. I drive 2 hours to get it. Since I ran out recently I couldn't do any nutrient teas. Just compost teas.

go to a feed store and ask them for "pullet calcium" for chickens.
it will be oyster shell and coral calcium.

what sprouts do you use for your teas? i sprout sunflowers for food,
and i am tossing all these sunflower roots into my worm bins. do you
think i could use the sunflower sprout roots in a tea?

I have not been able to figure out why my plants vary in the need for cal/mag....but they sure do. I've had four of the same strain in the same soil, and one will go deficient a bit. I dunno, might be a temperature thing....I have not noticed a larger demand for cal/mag with my LED's. As with all things, time and experience will tell, this second batch of LED flowers will be better.

My plants rarely suffer a shortage, lol, I'm american, we are used to over consumption, it reflects in our gardening techniques as well...over water or over fert, yup.

The american experience:
Over-watered - massive consumption of alcohol
Over-fertilized - Corn fed people

I think we treat our plants bodies and structure better than our own bodies and structure!!!

Nice update video Hy! Love the frost and the way they're stacking up. Well done!:hump:

BTW that run they're setting up on IAGLA should have picked you or Tags for the grower! Doesn't pay anything but their will be a ton of swag at the end. I see apache tech has an AT600 going in. My guess is they'll want that back at the end. In any event it should be fun to watch the rebranders squirm.

thanks. I didn't try to go for the trial. I thought I had to have a more technical background in light design than I do. I wasn't sure of what type of grow as well. There will always be new lighting. So I'm down for the next trial if there is one. I'd love to.try an apache too.

No it was a by the people vote who got picked. You or Tags would have slayed it IMO. The grower they have now is Josh out of Oregon. He does come highly recommended amongst those that voted for him and I'm told he is lives near and is good friends with Splifferous. What I think the AT will prove is the value of broad spectrum, high intensity panels. You're not getting that out of a 300 or 400 watt panel. http://cpl.usu.edu/files/publications/poster/pub__3801011.pdf
