Hydroponically retarded, Please Help me out!!

1st grow, pretty impatient

Heres the set up... very similar to sunlight shed models, that what I was going for..
  • Cabinet grow
  • DWC Drip system w/ fogger
  • LED UFO's
  • 1 fem Barney's farm blue cheese - from attitude
  • 5 Seedsman skunk - attitude
  • Adequate ventilation
  • Root riot with hydroton surrounding
So my BC seedling is roughly 2 weeks old, and the skunk is about 1 week old. Germed in paper towel method and everything went well except for a little streching. Sprouted grew the first adult leaves which seemed to be all good at the time. Upon growing the second set of leaves things started going downhill. To begin, I think Im facing three issues.
  1. Streching
  2. Overwatering
  3. Nutrient Burn
*All are much more noticeable in the BC as its a week older.

First, the plants streched as I mistakenly sprouted them in a cloning dome. They cant exactly support themselves. They kind of can but its pretty ugly. So I cut some drinking straws in half, then sliced them down the middle vertically so I could open them to put around the stems. Put them around all my girls. Also added an extra fan, for a grand total of four fans, of which one blows directly on them. Hopefully this will resolve the streching issue.

Second, Im pretty sure Ive overwatered as there is some serious drooping and growth has slowed dramatically. Its painful to watch these grow so slowly. I had the drip set at 24/7, but have gradually reduced it to a half hour every 3 hours. So 2 1/2 hours off then a 1/2 hour on. Hopefully this will resolve the drooping issue.

Also, after the first adult leaves were grown I added some peroxide to the res, probably 5-10x too much by the way. This was bad! It burned the shit out of my plants, but whatever theyre still alive, lesson learned. Emptied the res and refilled it with tap water, ppm roughly 130's. Im keeping the PH in the 6's and the PPM has always been in the 500's. Im really worried here because the plant that was doing the best, BC, has now gone to hell. It started as a slight yellowing and drooping. Now, the entire bottom, first set of adult leaves, not the cotleydons, have completly gone yellow and are getting crispy. The tips of these leaves are also curling up. On a positive note, the plant is growing new leaves, but they are not getting as large as the bottom, still drooping, no curling though. The tips of the skunks are also yellowing, very minimal. I know this isnt heat stress too many fans and afterall im using LED's. Mg defiency seems to be to easy of a fix, but I added a tablespoon of epson salt just to be safe, no other nutes added. Im pretty clueless on this one.

The growth of every plant is painfully slow. I need some serious help. Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

Have the lights on pulleys... theyre no joke like 2 inch's above the plants. I'll work on the getting some pics on here. Thing is they didnt really strech in the hydro system, they streched in the clone box above. Dont think it was really made for seeds as the dome is so high cant really get a light close to them.

When I transplanted them to the drip system they started growing leaves. Havent really gotten much taller. Keep in mind the plants are only two weeks old.

Alright heres some pics of when the Blue Cheese was younger, about a week ago. Doesnt really show anything other than that growth appears to be normal and everything going good. With that said I must have done something.

ohh , at this stage just let them grow.

Keep the soil moist.

No need for nutrients , - not much light is needed ether.

That is not really stretching.

The plant cannot support itself so... I put straws on them as mentioned above. Also added a fan blowing directly on them.

These pics were taken with my blackberry. Of course the dig camera dies when I need it most. I'll get some better quality pics when it charges up probably not till morning.

Same plant as above. Do you think the yellowing is just a serious case of nute burn from the peroxide? Or maybe PH fluctuation again from peroxide?

Will it survive?

Drooping has to be overwatering. I assumed leaving the drips on 24/7 would be ok. Another lesson learned the hard way. Like said above, they are now on 1/2 hour for every 2 1/2 hours off.

I dont have any nutes to use... planning on getting some in the next couple days

I dont have any nutes... actually planning on going tommorow to get some.

Maybe from too much peroxide? I dumped a lot of peroxide in the res, like 32oz. Lol its pretty embarrising to admit it but hey Im an idiot what can I say? That def wont happen again.

They do look overwatered right? Should I stay with the same drip schedule?

So what do you think? Will they survive?

I think you'll be lucky to get killer quality from those poor seedlings due to the harsh start to their life. Most likely will have mutants or abnormal growth if survive.....but hey, you never know.

I would start over.

Good luck!

Are you serious? Starting over? I dont give up on my plants very easily. As long as new growth appears healthy this plant isnt going anywhere.

Afterall its a learning experience here and if this is the last mistake I make then I can live with it. If I get something out of the plant I will be happy. I do have 5 other skunk plant in there as well although theyre about half as old as the BC they are very healthy.

New growth seems to be good. The only leaves that got burnt are the first set of adult leaves. Plant seems to be responding well to the change in drip time and the fresh resevoir. Leaves are perking up and new growth continues. On the third set of adult leaves now. Growth is kind of slower than anticipated. More pics coming, need to get camera charged up.

Should I cut the first set of adult leaves? Theyre basically dead, all yellow very crispy except for the part closest to the stem is greenish. The green part is about the size of cotleydon. Maybe I should just wait for them to fall off?

how often are u feeding them? ur using rapid root plugs right? looks like the same thing i'm using. i had some problem at 1st but that was because i was using nutes too early and over watering ...so i stopped with the nutes and only hand water the plugs once a day with ph adjusted water and they came back to life. check out my grow i'm also a newb to hydroponics but so far, for me its going well

Did they survive, did they later thrive?

I did the same thing, and mine look different. Mine looks like ph problems, weak, twisty, and paling.

No, unfortunately it didnt keep up with the others and was pulled. I mainly attribute this failure to too much peroxide. Also, this was first grow with this system so to say the least there were some issues that needed changed/tweaked. I have a journal with the new system. I can link you to it if your interested.
