hydroponic NFT/DWC system

I've been thinking about starting hydroponic growing. I was thinking about a dwc system. I found this and it looks like it'll fit what i want to do more. Anyone tried it or have it going now? My question is, it says ''one aquarium water pump pumps water from one end of the system to the other, how would that work, would you have to tubes coming off of the water pump one going through the long length of PVC and the other going to the other and pulled through the hole some? How does that really circulate the water enough? Also how many airstones would you need and where would you put them? I'm pretty new too all of this, only soil so far so any reply would be helpful.

if you want to copy that, I would use an external resivoir. It the pics it looks like they have the pump in the actualy tube, and that would not work very well.. Use an external resivoir and pump water to one side and have the other end drain back into the res. use an airstone inside the res to pump ur solution full of oxygen. hope it helps
