Hello RIU'ers, hope you all haven a high day!

I have 3 two week old plants in a mix of worm castings, perlite and vermiculite since they sprouted and they have taken very well to the mix, no burn or anything...

i was wondering if it is already ok to start using fish emulsion on these 3 plants?

thanks any advice is greatly appreciated...

Shake well, only one drop per cup of water. But that's pushing it. Purpz is right, better wait. hey Purpz, You think 1 drop per cup should do it?

what up South TEX,

I usually don't feed until i see roots popping threw the bottom of the container, so i know a root system is established and the plant is seeking nutrients( i usually use the little quarter Gal. containers for starters.)
Also, if you use something like a "tea" it will probably be the safe route & not burn your plants.
If not, just make sure the N-P-K is something like under 1 for each Example-----> .2-.3-.2

hey thanks for the help, i have em in 20 oz cups right now. they have been in there for the past 2 weeks and have been growing really nice! a lot better then my first plants. I think i will hold off then for at least 1 more week prior to using the emulsion. since my space is limited, i will be using 3 gallon pots and i will be putting of the plants in a 44 oz cup, not that much space within box.

nope, don't feed yet, there still very young. What size pots they in?

If You muck around, & let the roots become crowded, your male/female ratio will needlessly suffer. If you DON'T crowd the roots, your male/female ratio could be as good as 80% female, 20% male. Trust me, and what have you lost?

i had 6 plants outdoors and my grandpa chopped em up and fucking tossed them in the trash... that got me really mad, but i got these 3 going now and thank goodness they are all female, so i know im getting nothing but nice flowers!

I will be letting them build up a good root system in those cups and then transplant, once i transplant, i will switch to 12/12, im hoping for a good grow, thanks for the advice bro,

I'm gonna come down on the opposite side and say it's never too early to start organic ferts like liquified fish and seaweed (although i much prefer hydrolyzed fish to fish emulsion). I start seeds in a Neptune's Harvest Fish/Seaweed combo and go directly into amended soil (Roots Organic 707). I start them on weak teas (3:1 water:AACT) on the first watering post transplant. I've never had an issue with root burn using this regimen.

thtas is no way how sex is determined. when the seed is being made is when it is determined if it will be malke or female.
its kinda like saying if you raise your kid as boy but it is a girl then it will still be a girl

That is not what I said. I'm saying that Nature will chose the lesser of two evils to survive, in a limited time frame.

Stress on a young seedling or plant WILL alter the outcome. That's why some Folks can get 80% females at a regular basis while other get mostly male. The Rule of survial & reproduction is the rule here. If a Young Plant's rooting System is confined at that early stage in the game/in it's one life, the lessons of survival knows that the female can't come to full term and produce viable seeds to reproduce, which is it's sole priority. But it can produce pollen under a very limited living conditions in a shorter time, so the life of the plant isn't for naught, afterall.
It's a proven fact that stree-free seedlings produce more females. The young plant doen't know it's going to be repotted. During drought & famine, animals will have less offspring, plant-life will produce more seeds, Human Female's body will abort a prenancy will the embryo is at a threat. All for the sake of survival. What else can explain more males in a stressed or, restricted growing area?
This also applies to too much, or not enough water, extreme temps, poor or over ferted soils, etc. Anytime there is a threat, within a certain time frame, survival takes charge. And, what about the Hemo's? Don't tell me those fuckers won't morph to survive.
