hydro - seedling issues

Id be willing to bet you can keep a ppm of 800-900 all the way through your grow cycle and be just fine. 1400ppm is pretty high for most strains.

You gotta remember that every seed is going to be a tiny bit different in what it wants. Its better to start on the low side of the ppm game and when you see defeciencies SLOWLY increase. 100ppm changes at a time works well.

I have a cut that burns above 900ppm.... i e uad skunk plants that like about 1300ppm
Thnx for comment! I search for info about my strains and found that WW and Aks are pretty tolerant to high levels of ppm and easy to grow too, but the OG Kush is not. I might do two feed solutions one for the ww and aks and another for the og kush. For sure i'll stay on the low side of the ppm game :bigjoint: . Slowly increase when i see deficiencies seems to be the better way to get to an optimal number.

I have had many, many strains and yes, most can easily handle 1500 and up to 1800 in my aero system but after many years of documented harvests and tightly controlled comparisons: less is better. The same strain that doesn't burn or curl at 1500 tastes better and yields more at 900-1000ppm. And if you are using chemical nutes the chances are even much higher of problems, I use organics.

I dont know how much free time you have, but its twice the work running two seperate nutrients. Id just try to keep everything at 800-900 ppm and see what happens if I were you!

If the heavy feeders look yellow try increasing slightly to make sure the light feeders can take it. If your using quality nutrients i garauntee you can find a happy medium

16 days now , i start to feed then 3 days ago 1x/day with 500 ppm (100ppm tap water + 400ppm nutrients)

is going all right so far, just maybe a little slowly

is time to increase the nutrients or give 2x/day instead 1x/day? 26.08-2.jpg 26.08-1.jpg 26.08-3.jpg

this one looks like the leaf veins are getting black or something : 26.08.jpg26.08-5.jpg

i'm having some problems with the temp. at the top of the plants its between 28C and 33C , and in the room 25C. working to solve that

I appreciate any comments

I find RW holds too much water for young seedling/clones

Instead, I use starter cubes, which I cut in half to prevent root ro

As soon as the roots exit the bottom I transfer to net pots filled with polished ornamental stone (The Dollar Store)

Your objective would probably fry them, at the least stress the hell out of them. They still have their own food source and don't need anything else. Take some good advice from somebody that has had great success in growing: less is much better with nutes. I have had over 50-60 strains in the last 3-4 years and would never, ever think of giving any plants that young even 300ppm. 800 would shock them and 1400 would probably kill them. I take 3-4' tall plants to start flower at 800ppm and never go above 1000.
So... if you take the time read SS posts and he's not the only one, and I agree, should not feed anything til initial set of leaves start turning.. They wont grow any faster than all your conditions combined...

I would like to see run off pH. Rw is notorious for pH issues and that's what it looks like.
todays feed :
ph before 5,64
ph after 5,72

i was using chloridric acid from aquarium ph down. i dont know if this acid is bad for plants. Today i use a lemon

Temps. are back to ~25C - 28C

I use lemon today cause its written on grodan RW instructions that i can use a lemon.
The problem is... at my location the only weed related product i can find is GH hydroponics pH down but 100ml its about 80$

Thats great...Hehe

Here in south america is hard to find that kind of products . its 80$ for both pH up and pH down. I'll order at internet and wait 2 months to get the stuff. Meanwhile i will pay $40 for pH down at my local shop.

How much is sulphuric acid? I have used it as well, works well once you dial in amounts. Just another option if phosphoric acid is expensive.

thanks man . I searched and found that i need special license to buy sulfuric acid

I bought today the general hydroponics ph down and hanna solution to calibrate my ph meter.

I find out that my ph meter was 0.37 off :wall:

just give a total of 520 ppm now... ph 5,8 and run off ph 5,9

I'm now waiting to see what happens bongsmilie . how long it takes until the plant shows signs of improvement?
