I'm going to make a final decision tomorrow, but I may have to chop all my plants to prevent them from being blown all over my property during the storm. I have about 16 that are harvestable...7+ weeks into flower. How can I process them? I'm not going to have time to dry or decarb. I have a gallon of ethanol, and access to a lot of butter. What can I do that can be accomplished in 24 hrs?

Yeah, cut them, hang them upside down in a dark place and gtfoot. Or if you think you will have law issues, cut em and bury em. take the loss and move on. Either way, if you lose power they will probably mold up in your environment, so unless you take them with you, they are probably gone anyway.

Maybe toss the buds in your freezer and make fresh hash or rosin? The freezer will take several days to fully thaw.

They aren't worth getting caught in a buzzsaw over. Good luck, be safe!

Chop and freeze em. You could make enough Fresh frozen to last a while with 16 plants. I'm not sure what you do about power outages though. Do you have a backup generator? Best of luck.

One other advantage to freezing them is that if you do lose power for an extended period and you can't get back, it won't stink to high heck. Freezers are pretty good at containing even horrible odors. The last thing you want is work crews or leos smelling the dank while you are away.

I'm just trying to salvage what I can. I will have to chop and bury about 25 that are less than 7 weeks into flower. The 16 that are ripe will be frozen and I will hope for the best. I don't even know how we will get out of here. Going to the mainland tomorrow and hoping for the best. Hubby is recovering from surgery and his Mom just died a few days ago, now this!

Hey I love you guys in case I don't make it out of this. Hoping it heads east and out to sea, but it doesn't look promising. I-75 is gridlocked already, no gas or water here on the island. I have a few cases of water, but my old mercedes is nearly on empty, and I hate to leave her. I also have 4 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 rabbits to deal with also. This is a nightmare. I'm not religious, but good vibes are welcome!!

Best of luck Cindy! Collect the pets and get out of dodge as fast as you can. Ask neigbors if they have spare gas, people usually have tractor or lawn mower gas (or boat, or power toy).

Probably a good idea to stay as far west as you can as you try to evac.

Stay Safe!!

Thanks so much to everyone for your thoughts and good vibes. I just finished trimming the ones that were ready or very close. It took me 10 hrs for 16 plants. Needless to say it was a pretty rough cut. I had planned on chopping the others, but I just can't bring myself to do it. The building that they are in has stood thru two major hurricanes, and I just have to believe that it will make it this time. The animals, including hubby and I are heading to the mainland tomorrow afternoon. What I really dread is that after the storm they will close the drawbridge and I won't be able to return until they allow it which could be days. I have a couple of crazy friends who are staying on the island and they will check things out as soon as they can and remediate as necessary. Hopefully we will survive and not go to jail.
