Humidor??

I recieved a really nice humidor as a gift. It's made from cherry and very expensive. I was wondering if I took out the moisture pads if I can dry and cure fresh bud in this thing.

It's air tight and I threw some half dry buds and some fresh ones I cut last night.

Anyone know if this is possible or am I risking mold by not hanging and drying?

Will removing the moisture pads keep the box dry or will they wallow in their own dampness?

well a sealed box is not ideal for drying, the moisture needs to escape. now for curing it would work fine, just open it once a day for a week or 2, then ud be good to go.

Your inviting trouble. A sealed box, only opened once per day is for curing, not drying. You've seen them black plastic trays that holds a plastic planter, I use them. They have air slot (for water drainage) in the bottom. I lay out one layer, set up a few inches above the surface so the air can flow, & use indirect fan movement. 2 days, it's usually dry enough to start the curing. A Pizza box with holes in it does well, flip once per day, for drying.

make sure you check the box first.... most of the time, grease cheese and random crap gets in those boxes, would probably help mold... or make your weed smell like 'za. if you can get your pizza delivery buddy to just grab you an unfolded one... no worries about bacteria... (sick people too... we cant call out of work for shit) what they say about restauraunts is true if you look close enough.... buying one pizza with a hair in it looks like bad business, but you make 500 pizzas a night, one pizza a week with a hair would be miniscule comparitively... i digress... im high and hate my job.... lol.. peazzy
