Law enforcement officials today announced the 'largest marijuana garden' bust in Humboldt County history.
In a press release, the Sheriff's Department said 134,082 marijuana plants that ranged in height from 1 foot to 3 feet were found at the Bear Creek drainage off United States Forest Service Route 1. Eradication of the garden took place from Monday to Thursday.
The area is located approximately 35 miles south of Berry Summit off State Highway 299. The garden sites were located on Green Diamond Timber Company property and United States Forest Service property.
The press release said officers located evidence in the garden sites that linked the marijuana gardens to a Mexican drug trafficking organization. No suspects were located near the gardens.
At harvest time, the marijuana plants would have an estimated street value of $469 million, the Sheriff's Department said.
The California Attorney General's Office Campaign Against Marijuana Planting, or CAMP, the United States Forest Service, the Humboldt County Drug Task Force, the Eureka Police Department, and the United States Coast Guard assisted the Sheriff's Department in the effort. This case is under investigation.

I think either you do it slowly and small, and keep a decent income or you try and do the big grow and just hve the one harvest and then move on. I think too many people get too greedy and then they want more and more harvests which eventually gets them busted. If any big grow stays in the same place for too long its inevitable.

To grow that kind of amount in the same place for a long time is going to get you busted because you can't grow their for long having brought in all the medium and nutrients and lights and then to keep all the nutes and everything coming and have all that weed going out, without someone noticing.

this statement is so so true even if you buy in bulk you will get exposure.
i pull up in a garage and load unload in controled settings. if you are seen carrying bottles jugs or high pressure gas you are quickly seen as making some sort of drugs. one phone call is game over. i have moved out of 3 ops this year so far. there is a time to GROW and then also a time to GO

Just did the math, and that averages out to be $3500 per plant....considering the article said the plants were between 1-3 feet tall, sounds like someone at CAMP is paying to much for their weed
