HPS bulb question

I have this 150w hps bulb that i took out of a flood light and it screws into a normal socket. so can i use this bulb in a household lamp?

No it'll need a 150watt ballast. The floodlight probably had one built in. You can try it but i'm almost positive it won't light up.

There are, but even with a 75 watt HPS I'm pretty sure you still need a HPS specific fixture.
