I have devoted alot of time and energy to learning but we will have to see.
I have grown hundred of pounds in soil though, actually over a hundred last year, outdoors alone.
Been doing indoor soil for over ten years, hard to say how long actually my dad grows too.
This DWC make me feel like a rookie.

I actually just built my small RDWC system today myself for my next bud cycle in a couple of weeks. Can't wait!:weed:

Yeah, well my stuff is pretty small time for around here. Most of my buddy's have 10,000 watts or more and the outdoor scene it part of the community here.
By far the largest and most common source of income in our tri -county area.
Plus with my recommendation and my girlfriends we are legal.
And I have a pitbull, shotguns, and a very high-tech alarm system.

I'm curious though can you find my address?

Nah and "I" really don't care too but if your this loose and proud I don't think it will be long before someone or something does.

Keep the dogs and guns handy, Mr Botwin. Not hating, just trying to keep you from bad things coming. Also girl, and girlfriend? Haha you're an accident waiting to happen, or court time waiting to happen I should say. Search for all the oh my ex-girl, girl friends friend, friend of a friend blah blah... and you will be posting "Oh shit they raided me and I don't know why!!"

Now you can look back and come to the conclusion on "how" now.

Who/what is bowtin?
Not hating? bullshit.
You can keep your "advice" to yourself.
My girlfriend and I have been a couple for almost ten years, what your saying is obviously offensive. Not everyone is religious or chooses to marry.
As far as getting "raided" Maybe you are barley literate but my post clearly says that I am legal, further more I live in Humboldt County, look it up.
My family has done this since before I was born, Never a legal problem.
Been my sole income for many years with rooms bigger than this.
I really don't see what information I disclosed is so risky.

You simply don't understand where I live. Put it this way, just today at work I saw 20,000 watts worth of rooms.

I'm sure you like to come off as wise and experienced but you sound like a pompous ass.

cheese is a good guy, hes just blunt ^_^. the botwin is a reference to the showtime series "weeds"
and you can be 100% legal and still get raided.

Yeah you can, but I'd say it is exceedingly rare. And at 5000watts? Come on.
And here it is when you are also out of local compliance pretty much.

I see you live in the pacific northwest too.

I'm sure I didn't get him at his best.

Thanks, they are a cross of our local trainwreak http://highboldtage.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/trainwreck-a-humboldt-legend/

Nobody knows everything. I've have experience in soil indoor and out but only a little experience with areo systems and no real hydro or DWC experience.
Think I just got lucky partly on the areo grows, they were kind of a side thing, DWC had been a real challenge as far as educating myself, both in preparation for building the system and I'm still learning how to use my nutrients well, as far as what EC or PPM the plants like at different stages of development.
I found this forum because I had a run get infected with cyanobacteria and stumbled across Heisenberg's post. The tea really turned it around and new white fuzzy roots started growing back in a few days. Unfortunately, I felt the plants wouldn't have produced to their full potential and since they were young I started over. But It would have saved them if I really need to. Now I use tea every week.

I struggled with cynobacteria for a while too. I first started DWC about 5 years back. The only solution I found was to lower my rez temps, light proof everything, and add doses of h202. Heisenberg really put a lot of great knowledge for us Deep Water Culture fans. Bennies are extremely beneficial when dealing with it. h202 can only be used with synthetic nutes. I had a friend of mine using Organic FoxFarm, and without thinking immediately used h202.. Needless to say it was a bad idea, and his conditions got worse.. I have experience with Ionic nutes, and Sensi AB.. If you use GH nutes or even a 3 part nutes, this lucas formula has been around for a while.

General Hydroponics Flora Series Feeding Strategy - Lucas Formula

G-M-B (Grow-Micro-Bloom)
0-5-10 - For Vegitative cycle (18/6)
0-8-16 - For Flowering cycle (12/12)

The numbers indicate the number of mililiters of Grow, Micro or Bloom formulas that I use in one gallon (US Liquid) of nutrients.

You will notice I don't use any of the Grow formula, don't need to, the Micro provides plenty of Nitrogen.

There are two ways to work with this formula:

1. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected water solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. After adding back an amount of water equal to the amount of your reservoir capacity you should change the reservoir and put in fresh solution.
2. Top off the reservoir daily using a pH corrected 100% strength nutrient solution as required to maintain full reservoir level. Continue to use this nutrient solution without dumping the tank unless the PPM rises above acceptable levels.

Between vegitative and flowering cycles you should dump your nutrients, then flush (possibly with Clearex) to remove salt buildups, then change to the other feeding program.

For young plants, just transplanted into the hydro setup, give them 50% strength nutrient mix to prevent overfeeding them while their young. Gradually bring up the mix to full strength as they grow over the next few weeks or so.

The lucas formula is normally intended for use with RO or near 0 PPM water.

NOTE: The lucas formula eliminates the need for epsom salts to correct Mg deficiendies in most normal feeding programs recomended by manufacturers. Cannabis needs a lot of Magnesium to thrive. The Flora Micro is providing the Nitrogen and the Mg in the proper balance, thus there is no need for the Grow formula and little or no room under the 'acceptable' PPM limit of 1600 @ 0.7 conversion.

Expected PPM levels:

At .5 conversion:
0-4-8 = 473ppm
0-5-10 = 592ppm
0-8-16 = 947ppm

At .7 conversion:
0-4-8 = 663ppm
0-5-10 = 829ppm
0-8-16 = 1326ppm

Addback Calculator (For Advanced Users)

Say you were running the 0-8-16 formula, at .7 conversion with a 22 gallon res. When you first fill it up, your ppm will be 1330.

Now you have been growing for a week, and some of the water has been taken up by the plants, some has evaporated, and now your res is at 947ppm. You need to get your ppm from 947 to 1330. Here is the equation:

((target-current)/target)*8 mil's per gallon*res gallons = micro double this figure to get bloom mil's

Example:
((1330-947)/1330)*8*22
(383/1330)*8*22
0.3*8*22 = 53 mil's micro

I always start my ppm at 200-250 the first 2 weeks of flower. By the end of week 4 my ladies are buzzn at about 550, and around 650-700 for the final 2 weeks before flush.I use the .5 conversion. I run just a regular DWC, no RDWC due to living condition. I use 4 18g totes with 8 ladies in each, under 2000w. I have been wanting to try wreckage, how is the smoke?
