how to tell if your phone is being tapped

I just found out that "Use of a communications devise" during commission of a felony is a separate charge in and of itself (here in Ga, anyway) which carries up to 4 years, and those 4 years MUST be served consecutively of any other sentence. WHOA!!!
Ain't that the biggest load of crap you can imagine? Georgia's got some strange ones for sure... In Atlanta, you can't eat a ham sandwich (or anything else for that matter) on public transportation... But, it's perfectly legal to carry firearms while you're commuting... with a permit of course. I'd love to see an episode of COPS where Marta Police or the Atlanta PD tackle a guy eating a burger that's sitting next to a guy packing a Glock! LMAO

And while I'm bitching about laws and the cops... Am I the only one that think Tasers are getting a little out of hand?

I called the first one and it goes beeeeeeeeeeeeeep and then it stops.
If the beeeep was uninterrupted then u r kewl.

Okay, I called both numbers, and the first one gave me the same long uninterrupted beep, so that's kewl. The second one was a bit different than what K1NG described. I got my number repeated back to me and then another number was repeated back to me instead of the 1,2,or 3. I got 888-000-9880....huh?
So I tried to reverse lookup the 888 # but to no avail. I did find out that all numbers in the U.S. start with numbers between 2-9 (201-999). Anything else, like the one repeated back to me (000) is from outside the U.S.

Anywho, just thouight I'd let you know. Someone call the International number and see if you get what I did. Now I am curious. I do not think anyone is bugging me, I'm not paranoid. I have two sticks of gum and a flashlight. I am prepared.

does the patriot act allows any phone to be tapped for reasons other than terrorism?

Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In a nutshell, No, PATRIOT alone does not allow for domestic surveillance, but like any other "temporary but necessary" legislation enacted to combat an immediate threat, that "temporary" status (also known as a sunset clause) will invariably be extended, and in most cases made permanent. Also, at their inceptions, both PATRIOT and FISA had a very limited scope under which they could be invoked and used against US citizens.

Patriot Act could be used against drug gangs | www.azstarnet.com ®

Here we can clearly see that although the intention of PATRIOT was to combat international "Terrorism", but there are those who would expand the powers and scope of coverage to domestic crime as well. If you pay attention to the news, and how the media sensationalizes drug busts and portray growers as the scourge of family values, The war on terrorism and the war on drugs merge. What is a Terrorist? Aside from radical extremists, Thanx to G.H.W. Bush, the term now includes:

Section 802 of the USA PATRIOT Act (Pub. L. No. 107-52) expanded the definition of terrorism to cover "domestic," as opposed to international, terrorism. A person engages in domestic terrorism if they do an act "dangerous to human life" that is a violation of the criminal laws of a state or the United States, if the act appears to be intended to: (i) intimidate or coerce a civilian population; (ii) influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or (iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination or kidnapping.
United States citizens and residents should have the right to live in, allow their children to play in, and walk in the streets of safe neighborhoods free from gang presence and influence.

It aint gonna be long before anyone who breaks a law will be deemed a "Terrorist" and a threat to national security. If our founding fathers were alive today, they'd be jailed and held indefinitely for sedition and terrorism. Gangs and Drugs are already being called a threat to National Security, and fall under the scope of PATRIOT and FISA.

Carnivore is the FBIs electronic eavesdropping program and it collects and stores whole packets of internet traffic and data. While they admit it certainly has the POTENTIAL for abuse, they claim that they would never spy on an unsuspecting civilian not involved in international terrorism. Lets see....They have the ability to listen into our calls, read our emails, but they PROMISE they won't get too intrusive, and that they will break off any surveillance of innocent (non terror related) subjects. Somehow, I just ain't buying that!!!

Boys and Girls, it's fixin' to be an interesting time to be alive. The fucking terrorists have won. They set out to change America, and bring us to our knees. Since 9/11 Our government has effectively "suspended" what was at best the shell of our constitution. It was that constitution, and the rights it guaranteed us as citizens that made America what it was. Now? We are just paying lip service to democracy, and our "Freedoms" so many have fought and died for have been flushed down the shitter. Yep!!! They succeded. Our founding fathers America is no more. We're just another country of civil and human rights abuse.

And yes, this is almost too much to swallow, and it's hard to believe that this could REALLY affect us. That is exactly what the government wants us to believe. This is affecting every one of us RIGHT NOW, and it won't be long before even those in denial wake up and realize just how severely fucked we are. And I don't believe that we can fix this.

when i call the 1st number. i hear it then it stops.then starts for another 5 sec and then stops. ive called 4 times same thing every time. tried the second number and it wont connnect.

Hey guys,

i forgot to post this a loooong time ago for any paranoid motherfuckers out therewho thinktheyre being watched every second of the day.

You can find outeasily if your phoneis being tapped, by simply calling a couple of numbers.

Before i give out thenumbers, ijust want to say one thing - i got these numbers from my phone service provider. A long time ago i called because i heard a clicking noiseon my phone and i thought i was being listenedin on. So i called my phone service provider, and they gave me two numbers i can call, and this is a generalindicator if ANYONE is listening in on your phone - wether it be an enemy, or the police, or anyone able to intercept phonecalls. these numbrs are alsoon the internet, and it justbacks up what the customer service representative had to say.

1st number - 202-543-9994
You call this number, and listen. there will be a LOUD monotone noise. If thenoise is broadcast with no interruptions whatsoever, then you arenot being listened to. You have to callmore than once though, becausesometimes the reception on your phone sucks, and it sounds like itsbeing interrupted, when reallyyour good to go.

2ndnumber - 10107-321-770-988-9664 - this is an int'l number, but what you want to hear, is a ladies voice. she will say your phone number. after that she will say a series of zeros, followed by a 1, a2, or a 3. If you hear 1, you have never been tapped, and you good to go. If you hear a 2, you have been tapped in the past, but your not being listened to now. If you hear a 3, you arebeing listenedin on, and youneed to find some other form of communication.

Once again, this is something that my phone service provider gave to me, and there are websites that back it up, so you can argue all you want, ive been using this for at least 5 years, and its been keeping my mind at ease ever since. Ill admit i usedto be one paranoid motherfucker, lol.

hope this helps set some of you paranoid bastards out there to ease.

well a fellow Marine Sgt. told me it is. Didn't ask how he knew, but i don't question his intelligence.
If there is a tap. They are listening cause of a year long investigation i got tied into, but was found innocent after 8 hours of integration. Maybe this could be true. o well have nothing to hide. only use the cell to talk to family, the gf, and a few close buddies.

i know I'm not being listened to, my girl is the only one who uses the house phone.

I do believe code is inadmissible in court so they would have a hard time using my talk in court(as you probably already know my talk is crazy;)).

this is from a law book of mine
the patriot act " the law gives broad new powers to the FBI, C.I.A and other inteligence agencies to spy on citezens. It also eliminates the checks and balances of thoes powers such as judical oversight, public accountability, and THE Ability TO CHALLANGE GOVERENMENT SERCHES IN COURT!!! for instance, the FBI now has the power to serch all private records, medical, legal, financial, student, any recorded activity, without revealing to anyone what it has done.... ... The FBI no longer need probable cause to conduct a wiretap if a " signifigant purpose" is gatherd by inteligence.
it goes on, but you get the idea. badd stuff :(

Newer cell phones are digital so they're pretty difficult to tap.. Older analog cell phones were very easy, all you needed was a scanner with the cell phone frequency unblocked. (they don't sell these anymore in the US, but you can get them easily)

I was really into scanners and stuff at one point.. Still listen to the police etc on and off.

What the average citizen can tap into and what the govt. can tap into is a quantum difference in technology. Anything out there can be tapped.
