This is my 4th grow so I thought this would be my most successful. I guess I will shoot for the 5th being flawless.
Lol ..... Bit off topic I know but these few sentences put a real smile of fondness on my face.
I can't even tell you how many "grow cycles" I've actually been through because I simply don't know.. but ... The next try ALWAYS carries the hopes of being "the one" that's going to be "flawless" or best or greatest etc etc! Point being that the bar you set (no matter what you have accomplished) always gets set higher for the "next one". Always looking to learn and improve is what keeps most folks dedicated and interested. Its often called progress.

Perfection is a goal that will always be elusive, just out of reach and therefore quite simply and realistically unobtainable. The really fun and absolutely best part is not the " capture " ..... Its the "hunt". The old " Be Here Now" philosophy.

Back to the topic ...... I honestly have not had a chance just yet to thoroughly and properly read this entire thread, but I have regretfully only just skimmed through. I apologize if this has already been discussed or posted.

Hopefully I manage to do this correctly and these PDF files get uploaded and are accessible. They were taken from a forum post over at the "city" entitled "Higher Learning and Resources". I have many more saved, but included these from a quick skim of my files. Going from the title alone they appear applicable to the topic. I make no claims however of their actual suitability or relevance towards the actual discusson topic.

Hopefully some will find them useful as I do.

Thank you! You were spot on talking about trying to improve from one to the next. After I get it figured out yes always wanting to take it to the next level. Its all very interesting learning how it all works, put it to practice and reap the rewards! I am printing some those PDFs on mites. I print any information that pans out and I know I will or @ sometime refer back to them. I keep them in a file cabinet and break it down even further with sub categories. The computer is great but I like to refer straight to a piece of paper if I know it has the information I need

No but I hear lady bugs eat mites. I think you can get about 200 for 15.00. Now that I got a tent it may be an option.
you have to breed the ladybugs to get carniverous mite eating ladybugs, needless to say 700 ladybugs died in my room, the other 700 I released in the wild. I fed them, gave them water and shelter. Lady bugs are cool and all, but not the best option.

lady bugs are weak. Pirate bugs are amazing.
they do not eat plants and they can even stay around and survive a winter and stay til next season crops. :)

i have a homie who has used pirate bugs and cropped out around november.
next crop he started was in may and the pirate bugs were still around and mated and made a giant pirate bug colony !!! :)

After I burned my plants with that terminix shit to get rid of mites, they are back WTF. So do I go with A
that recipe is way off been useing one for a long time my old man gave it to me he uses it on his outdoors been uses it for about 30 years like i said that recipe is close to not the right one ;)
Does this recipe work? Could you please tell us what you use? I made the mistake of applying cinnamon oil or in my case this terminix shit, same ingredient, I guess its a lot more concentrated. I did it with the lights on and fried my plants. 4 weeks later and they bounced back just great but mites are back. I like the pepper idea but want to make sure this will surely work. How do you make yours if this is incorrect?

Dear V~

Again, thank you for your input. Each reader may make their own personal decison based upon the facts. What may work for you may not work for others.

In comment on your practices: I do not allow any animals or unclean individuals into my growing environment, vistors that may contaminate my stock. Catching a ride is how it all starts.

For Example: I was given a clone by a friend. Because I trusted this friend I did not put the plant into temporary quarentine prior to intoducing the little girl into the young clone nursery area. To my suprise and disdain - on a second investigation days later - I discovered the dreaded webs. It was too late. The mites had begun their march, and soon every plant had a few mites, that needed treatment - causing me to quarentine that entire nursery from the rest. A real pain!! Thus, I am ardent on technique and proving the veracity of claims - as you should be and are. Kudos.

I have no supporting evidence that proves that NO PEST STRIPS - relaint upon evaporative ariable chemical poisons - produce a run for the boarder in mites. Where do yours go to? Into the closet and into the spouces underwear (just kidding). They got to go some place.

Please respect this thread and allow others to post "All Natural" Questions and Answers. Should you be fervent about your technique, I would advocate that you start your own thread in the main forum, promuligating the benifits of your personal method.

Thanks for you understanding and respecting our fine community,

My Best,

Peace,

calibuzz

Completely the oppisite. That you have run on again and again, proving a certain amount of tolerence on my end for a stubborn instigator - whose purpose seems to be creating confusion and misinformation.

I would suggest reading all posts and note that others are not attacking, but posing questions and promoting alternitives.

I am afraid this is my last post to you on this subject, as you appear to be on a mission.

On another subject: I play the six string bass. Is that guitarre in your pic the cat's or yours? Who plays better?

the peppers> No I am looking for an off the shelf product. After much reading I think I am going to use bifenthrin. I haven't heard anyone mention it but it is an insecticide for mites. I am sure the peppers work it is just a hassle right now. I just set up a second side of my tent and am now building a clone cabinet so I can throw these 4 in flower. I also have a chiller to get working for my second reservoir as well as install my second carbon scrubber. I am still fine tuning my grow room. There has to be some sort of insecticide methods? I see that what ever works for ticks will work for mites also. I would like to know what Chem Lawn uses to spray my yard for flea and ticks. Whatever it is it doesn't hurt my plants or shrubs. Do people just not like using insecticides? here is the link with the bifenthrin. http://msue.anr.msu.edu/news/spider_mite_populations_thrive_in_hot_dry_summers
