How to hydrate/moisten marijuana?

1) How would you re-hydrate marijuana?
2) Is there any drawback to this?

I accidentally fucked up the drying process by drying too fast. Temperature was too high and RH was too low.

My bud dried from 100% to 21% which is 220 grams. If I would like to increase weight from 21% to 26%, would it work if I would mist 52 grams of water (5%) on the buds?

I ask, because I have too low RH in the jar right now. It's 45%, but to my understanding it should be at least 55% for the curing process to take place.

If you overdried it in the first place, you can't bring it back to the way it was...Like, it'll never be as good as with a slow dry and good cure. Don't spray your buds with water, that can cause mold. Take some fresh fan leaves, and put them in the jars with your bud. If you HAVE to, add something like apple peels or a paper towel moistened and squeezed out, so it's just barely damp. But you won't bring back some of that smell that has permanently evaporated.

I have also read that if RH has once gone lower than 55%, there's no way to re-hydrate it and cure it again properly, because once it it has gone lower than 55%, curing is done.

.. but it's the only thing I have heard about this subject, so I figured I should ask from you guys.

Do you think I still have a chance to make it better by re-hydrating and getting RH from 45% to 55-65% for the curing process to take place?

Dry weed is the best. I've never had any issue with weed that's been dried for too many days. Most of the curing happens during the drying process anyway.

Boveda is a great product for humidity control.

I am working w one type of Sativa bag seed.
I am now on clones from my first 3 plants.

I have dried 5 batches since last year.
I like my weed a lot, but it was harsh 1st 4 batches.

I realized something needed to change.

Turns out drying slower before curing kept my bud smooth, no harsh hacking cough.

My home has a 45% RH ,

I hung the buds like normal, but at two days I shoved it into multiple jars, I left the lids off for 48 hours.
(All jars were left open at night, but in a small cabinet.)

1st day of jarring:
I reversed the burping to close the jars for 2 hours then open for 3 hours.
X 6
2nd day 3 hours closed, 3 hours open
X6
3rd day
4 hours closed 1 hour open
X4
( started leaving jars closed overnite on day 3 )

Continued at 4 hours closed 1 open for 3 more days.
Each day I shortened the open period.
At 7 days I burped like normal, an hour open then
all closed the rest of the day.

I finally got some super smooth tasting weed!!!

Bless,
DZ

How do u do the bag cure bro I been trying to understand it but u don't see to many people doing it
hang the plant to dry for 2 or 3 days, then finish trimming and place buds into paperbags or on cardboard. the dryness of the paper helps wick moisture away from the buds, making them dry nice and even and no risk of mold. My humidity is too high for jars, I only put buds into jars once it's totally dry for storage.

yeah. After I've trimmed all the buds, I throw mine into a cardboard box and close it up pretty tight. All the moisture gets pulled into the paper which helps disperse it into the air.

IMHO
Not sure there is much saving very dried out bud
but this is your safest bet
..spraying your buds will just give you wet/poorly dried buds
fruit peels/moisture welcomes mold
