Um I just think that the leds do give off a great spectrum but I think they are way under powered and from what Ive heard they produce a real fluffy nug. Im not saying that if you had enough of them they wouldnt work great but not sure. Electricity really comes into play cause its like running flouros compared to the HIDs and ballasts and the bulbs all gets very pricey. Id love to do a comparison but not in my budget yet. Hopefully sometime in the future.

i've heard some pretty good stuff about led grow lights but only a few. they barely take any electricity 2 grow.

i have been looking to grow sum SLH myself. ill make sure ur first grow is a success my man. so what stage of the game are u at? how many days has it been since u planted the seed? and also tell me what ferts u plan on using. if you dont know when to start using them, just ask. also, my biggest mistake as a n00b was overwatering the plant. just give it about 100 ml/day for the first few weeks. its one of the most common mistakes among new growers i hear.

I just got 3 bags of soil free! I thought it would be cool, I mean there sittin outside the grocery store, AT NIGHT! It's still just as hard work no matter what you get for free! For reals.

i think there is a lot more room for fuck-ups with soilless mixes. If u want to have it easy, just go with old fashion soil.

Ehh ive heard from some professional growers and countless grow dvds and jurnals that soilless grow mediums are not the best true, but easiest. bc of the lack of advance chemicals it makes it user easy, easy to flush, and drain. absorbs properly. level. and provides plant with simple compounds....

and for first growers its recomended so im gonna go with it this time...
Even Jorge Cervantes recomendes it....lol

Indeed I agree with Kitten go all Organic its so much nicer. Ive been able to do some taste testing on hydro vs organic and results are going to soil as of now. Easy victory!!

That wat soiless is its the next organic step. maybe i didnt clarify sorry. soilles is like hwre u have only peatmoss and perlite or some type or mix without soil is the key tho... not hydro crap

Ah ha I learn something from this site everyday I dont do much research on other methods of growing beside the organics unless I come across something interesting. So how does that compare to straight soil?

Soilless soil works like so...

ITs a more basic compond, not made of any complicated chemicals that are hard for the plant to break down or any chemicals at all so to speak its all on how u make it (or ig buy it)

Its basically exactly how it sounds. SOILLESS (no soil). im making my mixture using 50%peatmoss + 50% Perilite.
you can do others like with coco, or the blocks, or idk. just dont add soil lol

Its great for plants they enjoy it alot. but depepnding on what soil u do compare it to, you cna easily find something better


Pros:
No compound Chemicals
Add natural basic Chemicals (oxygen(perilite) of YOUR choice
Very pH nuetral (depending on what u put in of course)
Allows a more natural grow
Easy to drain
Easy to flush
Extrmemly even when it comes to water obsorption
Easy to make

Cons:
Not very complex chemicals (this can be bad for some ppl)
hard to buy as package
can be messy
really there arent that manny cons


And its EASYILY BY ALL SOILS ESSIEST TO USE

SUGJESTED FOR NOOBS BY ALL PROFESSIONAL GROWERS


I sugjest you all try one or two plants in a mix
