How to get the most from my trim??

Hi guys i was wondering what would be the best thing i can do with my trim regarding quantity and an easy and cheap means of extraction?? Any input would be much appreciated.thanks

First we would need to define the quality of trim. I've seen yield from 15% to ~2%, depending on level of manicured sugar trim and popcorn content. Also how much, because some processes are more equipment intensive than others, so require more justification.

Lastly, what end product do you covet, and how are you going to consume it?
 
I like to make qwiso. Get some 91% isopropyl rubbing alcohol (99% can extract more cholorophyll but is an ok alternative, 70% has more water and takes much longer to dry). A quick google search on qwiso should tell you how to make it, it's fairly simple. Small yield but great quality.

How would 99% extract more chlorophyll than 91%? Lol the number is how much alcohol content value the product is. 99% = 99% iso to 1% water, 91% = 91% iso to 9% water. Has nothing to do white how much chlorophyll is leached out. Heavy time.consuming shakes pull out more green than quick wash. Hence the name qwiso (quick wash iso).

Would ever clear be better than iso? Doesn't sound a whole lot better than bho

Not buying it. I've been using 91 and 99% for over 4 yrs now. ONLY difference is the water content vs alcohol content. Please research tour chemicals a bit further before making blanket statements.

99% isopropyl, to repeat myself, is a stronger solvent than 91%, which means it will dissolve more oils more quickly (with chlorophyll being highly soluble in alcohol). Try making qwiso with 70% Iso and tell me why it didn't work or you had to soak it for much longer. This is because it is a weaker solvent. The percentage has to do with the amount of water which is added to DILUTE the alcohol and make it weaker. This is why 99% will strip paint, but 91% will not (or not as easily).

99% isopropyl will dissolve more chlorophyll and other unwanted oils, while 91% will mainly just grab thc unless it is left to soak for too long. This is simply because it is more pure than 91%, making it more effective as a SOLVENT.

The effects might not be highly noticeable, but they are there. Believe me or not, I don't care. I use both, and don't mind the slight difference, I'm just trying to pass on knowledge I found useful.

Water is proven to pull more chlorophyll. Agitation will also pull more chlorophyll

You still have to get rid of the additional water, which requires more time at temperature, so that more C-10 monoterpenes are lost.

Water actually extracts less chlorophyll than the alcohol, because chlorophyll is not really water soluble, it is only transported in the form of micelles, because one side of the molecule is hydrophylic due to the magnesium atom, and the other end is hydrophobic.

What it does do is wash away the water soluble protein binding proteins, making the chlorophyll more available, and it picks up water solubles, adding harshness to the extract.
