To restore iPhone to factory settings, follow these steps:
1. Connect your iPhone to the computer and open iTunes.
2. Make sure your iPhone is selected from the left menu in iTunes.
3. Click the “Restore” button in the center of the iTunes Summary tab.
4. You can choose to Back Up the contents of your iPhone to the computer.
5. iTunes will ask if you're ready to Restore the iPhone, this will wipe all of your data and settings from the device. Click Restore.
6. iTunes will download, prepare and restore the software on your iPhone. Do not unplug the iPhone from the computer during this process!
7. When finished, iTunes will ask if you want to restore from backup. Choose "Set up as a new iPhone" to start fresh with factory settings.
8. Enter a name for your iPhone and the process is complete.

Didn't the fbi have issues with a terrorists I phone with this same exact issue. Password protected? Couple wrong entries erased the entire phone. If the fbi barely could.do it, I highly doubt us high-ons will be able to either.

A best iPhone backup extractor, iPhone Data Recovery can help you extract and recover data from iPhone with three methods. It can directly scan your device to recognize and recover your all data for backup, also can recover data from iTunes backup or iCloud backup when password locked.

Iphones are great bc if you try thenwrong password more than 7 times it goes to restore mode. It will only let you access the info on it if you connect the phone to a computer with the same itunes account logged in as the last account that was logged into the phone. If not itunes automatically wipes the phone along with all app data messages etc etc...even the OS is reinstalled.

The fbi had trouble bc they did not know how to backdoor into the iphone without it trying to go into restore mode. Then they sent it into restore mode for some reason and if it was plugged into a computer blam-its over OS is wiped all the info on the phone lost,

All you gotta do is try several wrong passwords until it locks the phone completely. Easier said than done the 3rd or fourth wrong attempt makes you wait 1 minute to try again, thenmkts two minutes, then its 10 minutes then its 1 hour....after that hour one it goes into restore mode....

I think if you hold the pwr and home button down for 30 secods it goes into restore mode automatically, then just plug into Computer with itunes and it will wipe the phone along with the password.....
