also make sure you swish it around first to see if its doc which tastes slightly bitter or other reserch chemicals you can easily swallow doc blotters without tasting anything, real lsd has no taste just tastes like paper

I think the paper swamps the taste of the acid. Pure acid is a bit bitter.

In Vancouver in the 70s we used to get no-see-um windowpane acid and put one in each eye for a quick onset of the high and really trippy colours fast.
Could get 1000 hits for $250. Sell for $2 each or 3 for $5. Way better profit margin than brick weed.
Got blotter for the same price on big sheets that we cut up under a black light so wee could see the spots. Sometimes I think the guys doing the sheets were pretty high because you'd get rows of double hits or missed rows etc. Half a hit would have you talking to god so you didn't want to be giving people doubles by accident. lol
Purple Haze was my first trip. Big old horse cap full. Lots of good 'cid back in the day. Yellow or white micro-dot, Purple double-dome and orange wafer acid that sent me on a 3 day journey at the Strawberry Mountain rock festival when I was 15 were just a few. Good times.
Lots of peyote buttons and mescaline in round, flat wafer tabs available. Got some synthetic psylicibin once that was being in 'toon land for 12 hours and damn scary shit and only took half a tab. Most stuff came out of the universities there. UBC and Simon Fraser.
Could pick mushrooms close to home on Sea Island by the airport but better picking could be had in the Fraser Valley at dairy farms where the grass was short and 'shrooms were easy to find in the dried cow flops. Fill a 5gal pail in a few hours and sell the dried 'shrooms for $4/g. Half would mess you up.

I've been a professional alkaloid chemist for over 30 years. I worked in Shulgin's lab, so I know a bit about purity. When an alkaloid is as strong a base as LSD, it will be at least slightly bitter.

Ive tested the lsd ive gotten, and felt there is some taste to it. Doc was on the results list, but the regents turned the color indicating lsd.
