How the Big Boys are preventing the little guys from being approved

In totally unrelated news, just got an e-mail from my LP Tilray about expansion, Health Canada tie-ups, and THAT being their reason to only have 4 strains available.

At Tilray, our number one priority is ensuring that you have access to your medicine when you need it. Since our launch in April, we have been working diligently to add new strains and to expand our supply of existing inventory.

In order to fulfill our commitment to MMPR patients, we have completed construction of 30 new grow rooms in our Nanaimo facility where we will cultivate more than 40,000 additional medical cannabis plants and more than 40 strains that our patients value. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a delay in receiving required approvals for these new grow rooms. Our new rooms are ready, but we have been awaiting inspections and approvals from Health Canada since August. We are working with Health Canada daily to get the rooms inspected and approved as soon as possible.

While we are waiting for the new rooms to be approved, we are continuing to grow, cure and trim as much medical cannabis as we possibly can in our existing approved grow space. During this time, we are re-focusing production on a smaller number of strains in an effort to provide the variety of strains our patients need with the consistent availability you require. As a result, you may notice a more limited strain selection until the new rooms are approved. We will also make milled blends of our top strains available in the coming weeks to offer you more ordering options.

We take our obligation to provide you with the highest quality medicine seriously, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this causes. We know that you have a choice when it comes to selecting a Licensed Producer and we greatly appreciate that you've chosen Tilray. As we move through the approval process with Health Canada, we will keep you updated. If you have any questions, please give us a call at 1-844-TILRAY1 (845-7291).

Warm Regards,

Philippe Lucas
Vice President of Patient Research & Services

Oh yeah, I don't feel like they are "looking out for the patients" at all.

And the one kind they sold that I really really liked, they only had for a couple weeks and then gone.

No consistency.

let health canada know how tilray is blaming them lol, bet that'll do their approvals some good XD basically outright blaming health canada lol, do they think nobody from there reads their newsletter?

i bet the "milled blend" they are releasing is just all the shake they've been hoarding that they now decided to sell since their bud is so limited, and theyre calling it milled blend is quite misleading as that makes it seem like it will be milled buds, but its more likely just gonna be shake..why would they mill buds when they have a short supply of it as it is lol, tilray your stories are always full of holes

ANSWER THIS TILRAY, if you had only the capacity to grow 4 strains consistently and have been waiting for new rooms since AUGUST, how did you have so many strains all summer and suddenly have it all disappear? COZ IT WAS NOT YOUR WEED GREEDY FUCKS MMAR WEED RESELLERS PROFITEER HOLDINGS

I don't follow your reasoning here. Obviously your point about them having a bunch of shake they want to use to bolster their supply is correct, but what do you mean "why would they mill buds when they have a short supply of it as it is"? Milling doesn't lower your supply. It just breaks it up.

yeah, it breaks it up and lowers the value, people don't like milled.. why would they mill their dried buds instead of just selling them as-is when therre is clearly high demand for buds.. their "milled blend" is most obviously just going to be shake, they should state it as such rather than mislead people into thinking they are getting grinded up actual buds

i actually think cannafarms might not be a bad choice in the long run either, they need to get their grow rooms dialled in but atleast theyre honest and upfront customer service as far as I have heard
Going to try their plush Berry this order... Been wanting to try that strain for quite some time

Well when I think of milled shit I think of PPS. They milled it all. I guess the proof will be in the milling won't it? They SHOULD be milling buds but they won't because that's where the money is. They can sell shake to unsuspecting patients calling it milled med. mari Do you like shake? Do you find it to be quality effective medicine?
