i don't even know ware to start.... ok first off, just becouse you have a plant dosent mean its going to yeild X amount.... there is an equation for figuring out your yeild, first off, if your using florals to flower, i dout you will get a 4 ounces total... no matter how many plants... florals don't pack on the weight..... soo ok... it works like this, you get about 0.7 grams per watt of HPS light you use for flowering and that pretty good... the best growers get 1 gram per watt and thats working with a strain there formulure with..... IMOV the only thing florals are good for is early seedling growth... other then that your just pissin in the wind

i hate to have to be the one to tell you this... if you use a 400watt hps lamp, your going to get between 6 to 8 ounces, see like i was telling you before... X amount of light can produce X amount of pot...... the amount of plants you have.. or what kind they are really don't matter.. for the most part.. if your use a 400 watt HPS light and you fill a 3ft by 3ft area with pot you will get about 6 to 8 oz... weather you have 10 plants or 1 plant... the number of plants just dictates how much veggging you will have to do... you could veg one plant for a month and get 8 ounces... or you could veg 6 plants for 1 week and get 8 ounces, if you have a smaller setup, then do more plants vegged for les time... thats the better way to go... but to answer your queshtion... there is no way your going to get 4oz off a plant unless your using an addiquit light... if you use 400watts worth of florcents (not equivlant watts real watts) then i would think that you would get 0.1 grams per watt maybe 0.2... so that would be a total of maybe like 2 - 2 and a 1/2 oz... something like that... no matter how many plants you have

WATTAGE = WEED

if you are going to use florals i would recomend getting a t5, but for 1/2 the price of a t5 you could get a 400w hps/mh switchable ballast...

i hate to be real about this, but if you really want pot, you really need to get a light

using danks post formula:
400w hps x 0.7 gram yield per watt = 280 grams
1 ounce = 28.3495231 grams
280 divided by 28.3495231 = 9.8 oz of weed
this is my first grow so i dont know shit but that seems high to me. also as posted that would probably be next to perfect growing to get a yield that high.

with that light and amount of plants i doubt youll get more then 2.5 ounce a plant.. remember not much light is hitting the lower bud sites, so its just the tops and middle your getting nice buds from.. with a 400 watt hps i would say 6 - 8 ounces tops is about right between all your plants

i go by the rule of thumb of 100 watts per plant. thats a pretty mediocre goal to shoot for too. right now ive got 1200 watts on 6 feminized white widows. Do you know if your six plants are all females? if not your looking at a 50/50 chance males and females if your conditions are right. if your stressing the plants at all the percentage of males goes up from there

they are all females , i would love to get more than 2 oz per plant, but i dont know what is avg ive never done this b4 look at my pics , in the indoor growing forum , they are titled "how do they look"

Well A first time grower your already at a disadvantage for max potential. Are these sativas or indicas? You adding co2 to the room?What nutes are you using? Are the pots at least 3 gallon pots?HAve intake fan and an out take fan? Keeping temps 78 or lower?Have your water ph and tested before watering? Did you use good soil and not some 2 dollar stuff or muclh?These will make a difference.On a average grow with most of this you can shoot for 2 dry oz per plant if you do these basics co2 will double that.

Ok well I dont have a co2 supply only leaving y window open , my nutes are flowering nutes high in P , i spent 300 on the lights i dont wanna spend anymore, 2 oz per plant sounds about right, i also am in no rush , i got all the time in the world to grow, so if all goes well ill get 12 oz , only 4 oz short of a pound , have you seen th pics , what do you think >?

Why is answering your question honestly and giving you advise to get better fucked up? I thought you were looking for thioughts and advise my fault.I could just make things up but if Im honest myself as a multuple year grower with many different types of grows do have quit the advantage over you right? What pics did you mean? none in your gallery? $300 on a 400 watt light yikes.hope it at least was a switchable digital ballast with hood and both bulbs for that much ouch...400 watt digi switchable ballast are usually $99 to $165 for decked out complete unit

LOL I hate these kids that want all these questions answered when they don't do any research and just expect to grow a QP+ per plant their first time.

he is giving you an honest evaluation. its proven new growers are not going to have the prowess of veteran growers. you are bound to have some beginner mistakes as we all have. but over time you can learn and get better from your mistakes. just my 2 pennies.:mrgreen:

I have no issues answering any questions we all learn that way.I just was being honest.the more info as I was asking about let me give a more in depth answer. Each grow we all gett better if you have specific questions ask and Ill give my opinion or personal finding no problem.The sites here to help so just ask if you got a question or dont understand a response.

dont mis-understand me , thank you for your advice , im not expecting a 1/4 lb on one plant do i sound retarded?
anyway I took your advice and got a co2 setup it cost a lil but hopefully it will make the diff.

Yes it will. I use co2 tanks and timers.Make sure to get the co2 ppm to about 1500 and close the area off and turn the vent fans off for an hour during the co2 injections.Temps need to go up vloser to 85 if using the correct co2 amounts. co2 can increase yields 75% and I find also takes 3-4 weeks off a flowering time.I harvest at 5 weeks flower with co2.Did you get a co2 tank and solenoid or a co2 boost bucket or co2 generator?
