hey guys this is one of my utopia haze girls have 2 more but this is the only one looking this good , thing is its almost been 7 weeks flowering but everything ive read on the seed site says 9-10 weeks flowering but this thing is looking pretty good now.

Another question i have 4 more plants on top of these 3 that were 2 northern lights and 2 lasqueit haze but i have lost track of which is which , i dont want to wait too long to cut the neuts becasue right now all 7 plants are still running 1000ppm fox farm tiger bloom , if i have between 1 -3 weeks left on all the strains is it advisable to just cut the neuts off all now and start goin water and molasses only or will i lose alot of bud growth turning off the neuts too early?

sorry my question isnt straight forward i wasnt an english major :?

anyway here is the pics of the utopia haze fromt he first paragraph

Wait until you see 2/3 of pistylls turned orange (like the top in the 1st pic), then she's "done".

no no no..dont judge on pistal color..every strain is dif..and each could show different traits..check the trichromes with a scope ...wait till they turn cloudy, and jsut a touch amber..and flush for 1 week then chop..id say ur about right with 2-3 more weeks..id keep them on nutes for another bit...u should be seeing lower leaf yellowing like a mother in the next few weeks..fan leaves are completly green which tells me u got some weeks left. u should see a slow down in the vertical growth of the buds..but as calaxys start to swell sideways and up and out you should able to see daily changes..watch the calaxys closely. and the very tips..combined with that..and checking ur trichs u should able to narrow timelines down..Peace and tastey lookng dank!

You need one of these, $13 at Radio Shack:

OR

get a eye loop they use for looking at 35mm slides or a jewelers loop

i have both the loop and the radio shack version there..both a must have..loops better on the go..i find the radio shack scope more accurite..but u need to take a seat at a picnic table and put specimen right under it ..very still operation..hurts the back and the mentals. but def wut u need. so get 1 of those..take a few crystallized leaf samples..and away u go to evaluate.

tilemaster has it right: check the trichromes with a scope. look at pictures online of examples of ready trichromes and also of not done trichromes as a reference.

also, if you have a good vaporizer (like the valcano) you can vaporize right off the plant. it usually takes a minute before the vaporizing will start working because it's so wet and has to dry - but it does work, and it works well, too!! :) this can give you an idea of where the potency is at.
in addition, it can give you an indication of how much THC to CBDs there are. usually if you leave them growing for a longer time there are more CBDs creating more of a sedated body high - OTOH if you pull things down a bit early you'll get more THC than CBDs and more of a heady high. so there is definately a 'sweet spot'

Im not expert... but the color of the trichomes has nothing to do with the high type just potency. If its a sativa.... aka that haze your growing it will be that uppy head high. If its indica.... aka the northern lights its gonna be a couch lock body high.

They still look clear to me, but i cant completely tell; if you get a little more zoom youll know for sure; but id say anorther week or 2:bigjoint:

the trichomes are the things that look like little water droplets on the leaves surface and such right, i had a 60x zoom microscope but i couldnt see well through it and even if i did i couldnt take pics using it

Go back up a few posts and look at the chart. YES, you can determine the kind of high by trichome color at harvest.

may i chime in? i like to go by the breeder, if they say 8-9weeks i go 9-10 weeks, which means i start flushing at 8 weeks, on the outset of the flush i start to pay attention to the trichs, yes a sativa will give you a racier high, but the composition of the cannabinoids will change from cloudy to amber, so your sativa will have a touch of downer head...a 50/50 cloudy amber mix is great all around no matter what strain, well thats just my 2 cents

def the best way to tell when shes done is to check the trichs with a microscope....me personally im goin for the 90 percent amber. so i cann get nicee and stuck to my couch after work...mmmmm cant wait...check mine out in my sig man

Plants look pretty good bud, I would let them go another week to two weeks and they should be where you want them to be. Keep in mind though that some strains never get fully amber even if you left them for 12+ weeks, so just keep that in the back of your mind.
