I think a ceo should make 5 times the average workers pay.
But i also think that sport stars should only make a max of 5 times the average salary of the city they play for.
Its these blown out salaries that have ruined the economy in north america.

My CEO makes double what I make in salary, but his bonus is 10X, that evil fucker.

If I'm CEO I say 10,000 times
If I'm not CEO I say 1/2 as much

I understand the disdain for wealth disparity. I share in it.

I just think our anger is misdirected. We keep voting for policies and politicians that have increased wealth disparity to levels not seen since the great crash.

How much the ceo makes is relative to the size and income generated by the company.

The easy answer is usually too much.
Most companies that are large enough to even have a functioning ceo and a board are paid way more than they deserve.

i know!

some people even want to elect so-called "libertarians" like rawn pawl, who would make the situation a million times more disparate.
Wow, this shows your complete lack of understanding of what the Fed is doing. What the bailouts of wall street did...

Now I remember why I can't take anything you say seriously.

This has been talked about in the far east for the last 5 years and is still going on ...the consensus for us ex commies is

From the bottom rung laborer, at $10.00 per hour regardless of the size of the employing organization,
it would be fair to pay each level of management, .. plus 30% above the previous level..
to continue as the west does currently is insane ...I believe the western greedy motherfucker ERON (oils)
was blamed for starting this, and is perpetrated twice yearly ever since ..world wide

..remember some of use poor mother are shareholders too...! ..lol

And so the envy, greed, jealousy and hypocrisy of the left is revealed again.

I repeat as I've repeated before, you have NO right to discuss the pay of others.

You're not a shareholder, you're not on the Board.

I don't tell people I think all bedrooms should be white so I'm gonna fucking moan at everyone until everyone suits me and paints their bedroom white, its none of my business what colour you paint your house, just as its none of your business what a Corporation pays its CEO.

Padawan, you getting jealous of the McDonalds CEO because you as a fry cook think you "deserve" close to what he gets?

Seriously don't start with that shit Buck
If he had brought up the Koch brothers, I'd agree with his statement completely. Those 'libertarians' are actually corporate fascists in populist clothes. They would bring back fucking Monarchy, so the peasants (that's all the rest of us, unless you make over a million a year) would lick their oil stained boots.

The Fed etc gets cover to do the stupid, shortsighted shit they do from the moneyed elite in this country, certainly not from We the People. Federal banking regulators are totally captured by their industry and it's disgusting. They should be thrown in prison for collusion.

This shows the level of ignorance most have towards Fortune 500 pay and how it got so far out if whack. Corruption, pure and simple; all these CEOs sit on one another's compensation boards and vote each other raises- then pony at the other companies and say they're just keeping up with industry trends?! How us that NOT a rip off of the highest order?

They're stealing from their employees AND the shareholders and somehow even institutional investors with the biggest blocs of shares seem to be okay with letting it continue... probably because THEIR compensation boards look the same way!

I think a CEO should make the same pay as the most experienced workers in the company, whether that experience comes from the boardroom our the factory floor, both have an equal impact on profitability. If a CEO wants more, then by ask means, buy stock- NOT just options that have been repriced to put then in the money. Once they have their own skin in the game, they'll behave a lot more appropriately.

Pew Research sez average CEO pay in American companies ranges from 251 to 354 TIMES the average line workers salary. The only way that's appropriate is if they own 350 times as much stock and they're doing their job- which is making the stock go up.

How can they steal from their employees?

Are they not being paid their contracted renumeration?

You think the shareholders can't replace the board if they felt they were being stolen from?

It seems you're the ignorant one, bro.
