How much do growing jobs pay ?

There really isn't that much money in growing. Vendors / growers get raped on their price. Dispensaries make a killing in sales. But most of that money goes to the Govt for fees n taxes. The fees alone will blow your mind. That's why they want so much regulation. Keep the growers poor why the politicians get rich off our backs.

working from the bottom can be a humbling experience. I'm not trying to be a dick but if you feel 15$ for working in the cannabis industry as a grow hand is beneath your ability, well pay the money it takes to get the license's required for an OPC then find someone with a suitable building and enough money to pay for the build out and inspections and then you can grow the weed and not get paid anything until you harvest the crop pass the testing requirements and sell it all, then pay the bills and your partners/stakeholders then look and see what needs bought for the business and fight with your partners for money to split the costs of any expenses. then look at what you have left and break that down for how many hours you have put in during this whole process and see if 15$ an hour was really that big of an insult to just be a grow hand.

$15 an hour to someone just starting out 18 or 21 whatever it is to get your mmed badge here would be a good start no doubt. $15 grow hand I've never seen that offered here or even close. I'm familiar with the cost of growing, equipment, the cost of mmed fees, state, federal taxes and grow knowledge. I also know how much a successful store can make.

I wasn't clear enough before. The place in colorado I worked at for a very short time, offered minimum wage for "grow hands" or trimmers helpers, ect. they had 2 lead guys making $15, one new guy to replace the other on his way out. Did that with a few growers I had heard. The owner wasn't in the grow room actively IMO unless bad advice counts. As I said before a complete joke atleast this one place and I haven't seen much better offered elsewhere. I couldn't believe my eyes walking into that place, i remember thinking well this will be easy to improve lmao. This place I wont name had the equipment, the space, the licensing, all that stuff but they fell short on employees, who handled things, and nutes/medium used. The end result was low quality as you see all over Colorado and the owner bitching about money in his 85k ride wanting more customers. IMO If the business would have put their investment where it counts things could have been different. Why hire the cheapest quarterback you can find if you want to win games? I bet you think a $1 raise is big too.... 40hr week, $1=$40 a week extra yay. Id like to see the amount shoved in pockets.

I started as a Grow hand around 10yrs ago, I have yet to see a Colorado grow I couldn't very easily improve, If you know of any real grow opportunity hit me up, but for now i'll just keep producing a better quality at home than I can buy at the stores, I'm not the one loosing the potential capital.

Best quality+Best price= money. That simple folks.
Gram per watt is like 5 years ago, I could hit that with some junk, like a parabolic, with a mag ballast, running a Chinese bulb, in a hempy bucket, and with a budget nute line. I can only dream about what I could achieve with todays equipment, in a proper setup running Co2 with the backing but for now i'll just keep on :bigjoint:and :wall:

15$ for working in the cannabis industry
$15 is on the higher side. Average pay is $10 for entry level jobs that don't offer benefits and won't allow you to work overtime. Many people find better work at Walmart.

then look at what you have left and break that down for how many hours you have put in during this whole process and see if 15$ an hour was really that big of an insult to just be a grow hand.
Just a few reasons the industry is a mess:

the cost of licenses,
inability to deduct taxes for operating the business,
lack of talent,
customers that stand in line yelling 'shut up and take my money'

The end result was low quality as you see all over Colorado and the owner bitching about money in his 85k ride wanting more customers
Sounds about right.
