How many people here that grow, just grow for themselves only?

anyone ever try induction lights that's something that's interesting to me too I heard good things about it
My thoughts on induction lighting are that it's been around long enough to catch on if it was really all that. That it hasn't tells me there's probably a reason for it.

Yeah I like my t5's and hid lights just was curious. So anyway wish us luck checking out some more houses this coming sat hopefully find our new place this time have a good feeling on this trip up. Can't wait to get settled in get our cards and get things going so I can do a grow journal already.
Not sure if we are gonna do 5 patients or 10 might start with 5 and go from there don't want to rush things and not be able to provide what my patients need but either way will be building a 4k bloom room with 4 plants under each 1k hood have around 28 strains to pick from so as things progress down the line maybe everyone here can request what they would like to see grown going to start with 4 different strains and pheno hunt them to select good mothers to keep in the mix before I move on to the next run.

Will more then likely be doing dwc as that's what I favor/perfected but may also do 100% organic living soil depending on breeders recommendations/growing type used for those genetics to get optimal results anyway thanks for everything guys and gals and be up in Maine shortly

Kinda makes sense that that it should be OK, don't you think? It's not like freebasing or any other 'chemical treatment' or enhancement. And it is the med that we've been legally prescribed.

DLRS' official position is that separate legislation would be necessary to legalize hash/bho/kief. On the other hand, the coordinator at CCM has posted that DLRS plans to submit legislation for the upcoming session that would specify extracts as being illegal, so their confidence in their official position is clearly lacking.

The furor over hashish is as ridiculous as laws against cannabis. Especially in medical states. Even though a lot of people freak out over the word, I don't think prohibitions against it would survive a court case that revealed the science behind what it actually is. Just my .02

Exactly. Same with LEDs.
People bashing LEDs are either too cheap to get some real quality grow lights or, like 90% of people on here, just talking out of their ass. I was a little skeptical about LEDs because with all the bickering about what works and what doesn't, there is simply no real conclusive information about anything. So i decided to stop listening to idiots and find out for myself. I spend $2,000 on two 350W LED lights 3 months ago. The grow is 4 weeks into flower and the girls look better than anything I've ever had under 1000W HPS. So anybody that says that LEDs don't work is full of shit.

Well that's the question.... is it worth the extra 1000.00 + to purchase LEDs vs 1 1000k setup it's pretty expensive but long term you prob save a bit on electric but how much I've seen side by side grows and they get good results comparable to hps even better buds sometimes but how many feet can they cover compared to hps and is it worth the extra cost

That is my point exactly (I think it is, unless you were trying to make a completely different point, lol), if you're just growing for yourself, a few CFLs could keep you supplied full time. But if you want a little more, you gotta go with a little more. I finally got my first hash-tips this year (end of last year I mean) with LEDs but I supplemented a 1000W HPS for flower. Like anything else, you get what you put in. Don't discard any ideas and don't take anything you see on here as fact either. Rather think of what you hear and see on these forums as inspiration for future research.

Proof is in the pudding! Show me a side by side comparison grow, LED's. vs. MH/HPS, where LED's grow bigger, better plants and I'll be a believer.

This is my side by side grow/off between two 350W DS XMLs and one 1000W HPS: View attachment 2954901 and View attachment 2954902

Everything is the same - same strain, same nutes from same res, same environment, started same day, switched to flowers same time. Just the lights.
This is end of week 4 of flower (aka this morning).

I vegged 4 weeks with just the two LEDs but they got too big and I didn't have another $2K to drop on LEDs so I split them up and got the HPS and figured I might as well compare the two in flower.

I like your enthusiasm. Im more of a "means to an end" kind of person; like all this work better mean a good crop in the end.
