about eight 42 watt cfls, surround the plant and keep the bulbs closer than 3 inches from the leaves..wouldnt hurt to add a couple 23 watt cfls either..

lol depends on how big you plan on making the plants
if you just want 2 small 2 footer's then you might want 4 23w cfls and 1 42w cfl and buy 3 of the Y-sockets

connect the 3 Y-sockets together and put the 23w in them
get a socket and put the 42w in the middle

To be honest...buy a 4' T8 flouro workshop light...they work better, and produce alot less heat and they are easier to move. Use the Cfl's as side lighting.

Adding all those together is actually NOT a safe idea.

ok, i've got four plants. dont know what they are yet. will be switching to 12/12 next week or so and want to decide on a light for flowering. i am currently using a 125 watt cool white cfl for veg. these are self ballasting so i was planning on switching to a 125 watt warm cfl for flowering until i read a load of inconclusive info on it. i am now thinking what if i use the clf i was planning to. but althering the walls of the grow room too. i am considering using a net of 120 red LED's 5000 mcd surround the grow room as well.
how would this go? is there any point? i dont want to go hps

says who? the 600watt rating that they give the Y sockets? so they are auctually not even close to hitting the limit so its completely safe?
and that must be the reason why everyone else does it right?
shut up dude dont say shit
