How many hours of lights on a mother plant / clones?

I was wondering if it were ok to keep a mother plant and clones in a same tent under the same lights.

Is it ok to have both plants with 20hrs/4hrs?

keep taking clones of the tall parts. also feed her nitrogen rich nutes to keep her from wanting to flower, because some strains are influenced to flower in the presence of potasium and/or light that is super strong. just enough light to keep her happy.

I run my mothers and clones under 24x7 T-5 lighting and have done rather well with that setup.

Topping and tying down do the trick to keep the plant in check. I find the new growth nodes on the top are very difficult to clone compared to the bottom branches. I would not recommend using those for clones.

Running the lights for 24/7, I have heard it messes with the root growth & structure. Is this true? I am running mine @ 24/0 but was gettin ready to do 18/6. Because I heard its healthier for plant.

I like mothers under T-5's 18/6

I like clones under 400Wor 600W HPS Super Blue.

All the lights in the veg rooms turn on at the same time. Haven't ever tried greater than 18 though, but I know 18 is solid.
