How long left??/is this budrot? :(

Got this as an outdoor plant already in flowering
So will be about 5 weeks in now
(2 weeks under 300w dual spec CFL / and fed advanced nutrients big bug, nothing prior)
Smoked some of the finished product off previous and would say Strain is sage or some thing similar ..

Basically how long left ?
Would you stop feeding/start flushing?
And is this dodgey looking bud of any real concern?

You got a long way to go. At least a month. You better fix what's causing your budrot or you'll lose the whole plant

I found some caterpillars last week , sprayed it with some anti pest stuff for fruit/veg . Not seen any since.

That defiantly bud rot and should I take it off the plant ?

I did read that the caterpillar poo can create a perfect environment for bud rot . But air flow could deffo be an issue as cupboard was rush job to get plant inside and doesn't have any extraction yet just 6 inch fan on plant..

Would you chop the bad buds?

If you think your plant has budrot definitely don't spray it with anything, it will only make it worse. Misting buds is a big no no.. Pick off the caterpillars with your hands, get some ventilation going and maybe use a dehumidifier. Cut off any infected budsites.

I picked about 3-4 with my hands but there good at hiding lol only sprayed the once , won't be doing again now I know , just didn't trust my ability to spot them all before they got munchies bed chewed through half .
Gonna cut the bad buds now :(

You gotta get an exhaust fan dude. I didn't use one at first when I set up a 1/2 sq meter chamber. It was a fabric tent type thing and I figured moisture could just pass through it. Well, how wrong I was because I was soon plagued with bud rot. Now way around an exhaust fan really. Doesn't need to be huge air flow, I just use a washroom fan turned down with a dimmer to the point where the sound is very low and just a smooth breeze comes out of it. I put 3 layers of carbon filter pad over the outlet hole btw, works fine. Those fans only cost about $20, package of carbon pads is about $40. The fan exhaust hole is so small that you only have to cut little squares of the pad, so you don't need to spend much on the pads. If you put the exhaust hole on the top of the chamber you can just sit the fan over it, no screws or anything just gravity, very simple installation. That's what I did.

About the bud rot infected plants, you can just pick the rotted parts out and leave the rest. There are no toxins produced by bud rot, just not too enjoyable to smoke. When you see grey wilted leaves in a bud that's the clue that there's bud rot inside there. Makes it easy to find before you can actually see it.

Yeah definitely going to sort some kind of air intake/outake was thinking extraction fan to take air out the room into cupboard then an outlet with filter blowing into attic ( from top of cupboard)


Plucked the bud rot today or at least any visible bits , quite lucky it's only a couple side branches .

The bud rot isn't a serious problem now because the buds are not yet dense. If you had no ventilation fan in there in late bloom it would be a lot worse. Even just a PC fan over a hole is enough to prevent the rot, along with another one for circulation over the tops. However, if you put carbon filter pad over a PC fan it doesn't move much air and yield will be disappointing. A washroom type ventilation fan can push enough air through the filters.

i have a 6 inch fan on the plant , the found rot was present before the fan was in there and haven't seen any new patches since , completely agree with there being a need for better air circulation in there though .
