Just wondering how long seeds can be stored if done properly? I have several from the tude and have them in a dark drawer stored in the smelly proof bag they came in...what can I hope for?

not sure on this...i was looking at a pic a breeder took while moving a few months back...it was a pic of seed strains he collected...one container was labeled "northern lights 1986"...when asked about these seeds he said he would have to use a little heat and care but he expected 50% germ rate...dont know how he does long term storage...w99

I've grown off of seeds that were 25 years old. Had a 7/8 successful germination rate. My old boss grew this weed in the early 80's. All he did was store them in the fridge inside a film canister. good luck.

If you don't want to use the fridge. Here is what I do.

You put in couple of black sheet paper around the inside of a canning jar and add the white gel bag to make it more dry and not allow any light to get in.

Of course wrap your seeds individually in baggies and suck the air out when you clasp it.

IMO. Don't handle your seed too much if you want them to last longer. You have moisture on your hands. Less moisture the better.

Put it in a cool dark place. I think that would do it.
