Yeah so how late can plants grow in northern new england? or better yet at what temperature will to begin to get to cold for them?

If there is going to be a frost before they seem done, just use some plastic bags to insulate the soil. Roots are damaged by frost, not buds or vegetative parts. On the other hand, I would say mid november is prob their max time before the cold just owns their faces off.
