How far up from seeds in rapid rooters should I hang COBs?

I am going to germinate 6 seeds in rapid rooters, placed into solo cups initially. I don't THINK i have to water it early on, do I? It just will root and then I'll fill the solo cup with dirt and put it at the top.

But I'm wondering how far away I should hang the COBs? 600 watt CREE CXB3590, I will probably dim it to 10% power for the germinating phase that should be okay yea? then maybe up to 15-20% when it's in a solo cup, then up to 40% in veg, then up to 80% in flower?

Yeah that's fine. I dimmed my 800w to 200w for seedlings and was just fine. You'd be fine all through veg to half power after they're 6" tall. I had them 24" above seedlings

i blast 100% from start to finish. plants are fine.. seedlings grow in the sun outside, ohne dimmer.
