How far envirolites from plants?

just wondering what the ideal height to have envirolites over your plants?

iv read that 2 inches is good, but is that during veg and flowering?

would it be ok to keep the lights like a foot away from the plants? reason i ask is im leaving them on an auto watering system for 2 weeks when im away and cant raise the lights when im not there so was going to keep them a foot away so they can grow for the 2 weeks im away without touching lights

basically il be putting them 2 flower just before i go away.

Bad idea to go away for 2 weeks right when your about to flower, it's the most sensitive time. Idealy you would keep the enviro 1 inch away, but if you're not there to adjust your going to have to raise it. Although putting it a foot away will cause them to strectch, not to mention plants strectch the most when they're put into flowering.

would it be better to keep em vegged when im away then?

yes definately veg longer; how long have you vegged already, and have you got enough room?

they'v been vegging for 3 weeks already, there only about 6-7" high and i have a total height of 5.5ft, width of 3.5ft and depth of 2ft

currently i have 8 plants in there but im hoping for no more than 3 females so the room should be enough, wot do ya think?

3 weeks isn't long enough, you will get a poor yeild. Veg for the 2 weeks your away, the when you get back start flowering. You have plenty of room so I wouldn't worry about that.

There's no other feeling like it. I'll be interested to know how you get on, I too am using Enviro's and only vegged 4 weeks, so good luck!
