how far away?

ok im upgradeing from 13 watts (i keep 2-1/2 to 3 (maybe even 4)inches away)

and so a 20 watt you keep it 3 inches away? then 26 watt 3-1/2 inches and 42watt 4-5inches away? is this right

i think its best if you just put them in and put your hand close so you can feel the heat and gradually move it away till you can barely feel the heat and that should be about right

cfl`s get quite a bit hotter as you go up.simple remidy is put a thermometer at plant top level and keep it between 70 and 80 deg daytime and 10 to 20 deg at night for veg and 50 to 60 final 2 weeks of flower. high heat will also drop humidity.

lol any wattage of cfls can be upto 2-8 inch's
Any Cfl should be ok to touch the leafs without burning for a little .

the 2100k-2700k are warm but the blue 6400k is cool
