How does THC mature?

This is something I think would be great to get an understand of, and I haven't found anything about this topic through Google searching so let's talk.

I have a few plants that started to flower, then slowed down their growth due to underwatering, I'm wondering if the THC that was on the buds (before I stunted it) has became more mature? I don't have a microscope lens so I can't check myself, but I am looking for someone who can explain the process of THC maturing.

So does THC mature with the plants growth, or with time it's been on the plant?

Your question is worded a bit funny.
THCA will grow on your plant and start to degrade immediately. By "mature" I assume you mean the change from clear to cloudy to amber.
The earliest trichomes will be over ripe and amber colored by harvest. Luckily by harvest time there will be many many more, younger and not yet turned Amber.
Did that answer your question?

Are you thinking Chemical reactions that need to happen to make the THC? Are you thinking the life cycle of THC?
Kinda, I was trying to figure out if the THC that is already on the plant will continue to "mature" even tho the plant is stunted.

Not really but I appreciate it.
I want to know what makes the THCa/THC continue to mature. I know what curing does and how THC will degrade with light / oxygen exposure but it would be nice to know what can halt all that WHILE still on a growing plant, so that I don't halt it by accident, and get and understanding of what I've already done.

I love Jorge. I don't know if he answers your question. He hints at the plant sometimes never recovers from stress.

I looked at a few others. I think Jorge has it. Saying that a plant may never recover. Hinting that a stress will effect plant growth in all areas after the stress event. I hope this helps.

Well the plant is still continuing to grow, but it has been flowering for about 11 or 12 weeks and could still use at least another month, maybe even longer as surprising as it sounds. I was just wondering if the the that it grew about 8 weeks ago has matured by now?

Thc mature? Im not sure that it does. From that i have read is that the resin is excreted to protect the flower/bud (reproductive organ) from harmful uvs and to hold pollen from males. And it starts to degrade not long after it is excreted.

I also read that thc is past it's prime when it starts to cloud up then turned amber. And... read a High Times article that said resin is at its most potent just before it turns cloudy, according to the lab tests they ran. Time to harvest is supposed to be just as the heads start to cloud up en mass.

concerning "maturity"-- i am assuming your referring to any changes concerning the molecules that get you high/feeling good/etc, then my .2s is yes.

tho instead of using "maturity" as the word i'd just simply imply "changes" (in-regards to environmental factors, genetic variables, a myriad of processes with photosynthesis and enzymatic reactions, blah blah blah)

so in plain english, yes, the crystalline gooey stuff went through some changes during your grow~

Ok so let me start off by saying that thc has diffrent stages there is:
clear trichomes = feels like you smoked or took speed.

Cloudy: depending on the strain it could be very creative, psychedelic, tippy high could also be stoned lethargic depending on the strain.

The very cloudy/amber: from my experience its like a very heavy, sleepy, and narcotic feel. Also when there has been too much ambering its kinda numb but functional feeling but not as significantly high feeling.

You can tank me later noobbongsmilie

Yall must be high as f%#& lol
I know the different between clear cloudy and amber, Im wanting to know what kind of interferance it takes to slow down the maturing of THC?
Like if it has THC on it already, gets stunted bad, will the THC that is on it also slow down in maturing like that plant is, or will it continue to change from clear, to cloudy, to amber?

you need to google thc. you don't seem to understand this at all. thca is not thc. delta 8 thc is not delta 9 thc. cannabidol and cannabinol are not thc. only delta 9 thc is delta 9 thc.

your question and your point are both moot.

Okay, so how what would cause the production of those chemicals to slow down but not stop?
Maybe you could speak for just delta 9 thc?
Any insight on how to grasp this concept is appreciated
