Medium: Pro-Mix HP with Mycorrhizae
Dyna-Gro Foliage Pro at 3.33 ml / gallon
Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt at 0.83 ml / gallon

w/ tap water (Denver) at about 140 ppm for total of 400~ ppm / 0.8 EC

Here are my test plants at day 4 flower

I do coco hempys. foliage pro @ 3mL all the way through. in the first week of veg I add cal mag @ 1mL for the coco then I put it away. pull it back out if a plant shows deficiencies. I also add ful-power @ 10ml( just cause I have a sample bottle). I foliar with protekt and neem. and that has been working for me.

@Stoned Drifter Was researching dyna gro foliage and came upon this thread. I tried 3ml/gal my last grow in soil and it always burned the plant. This grow I am doing 90/10 perlite/vermiculite. What was your feeding schedule? Water, water, feed? I was going to start at 1ml/gal and add 1ml/gal a week. Sound about right?

@Stoned Drifter Do you still recommend 3ml/gal all the way through with hempy? I use 100% perlite and was having issues with my grow. I was going by label and am using 10ml/gal and while its working my yields are way lower than they should be. This would explain a lot!

3ml works good if u water every 3-4 days or so. If ur watering everyday 1.25ml per gal works wonders! 10ml per gal is overdose!!!!

I use R/o and add cal mag every other watering, I don't use pro tek, only FP and measure out to 5-800 ppms every watering, in pro-mix hp

I use ro as well without having to add calmag in promix. i usually feed around 350-400ppm, but even when I feed at 1.25ml per gal of fp my plants are still happy as long as ph is around 6.0. coco is a different story. I had to add 1ml of calmag to aviod deficiencies.

I have been getting deficiencies with ro water cal mag and foliage pro. Spots from the bottom up fed 1/4 tsp protekt,5ml of cal mag plus,1/4tsp of foliage pro got spots on the babies then i bumped it up to 5ml of foliage pro it got better then came back.. by that i mean a lot of green healthy leafs that took a dive and the top looks burned in the middle of the leafs

I swear those bottles of calmag do more harm than good.

Do you know the ppm contribution that 5mls of calmag has on a gallon of water? It's greater than the ppms coming from your foliage pro bottle.

Drop the calmag and go back to the recommended dose of like 1/4 - 1/2 tsp/gal of foliage pro. Even with those changes, it may be a few weeks before those plants look better.

calmag+ is practically a completely balanced formula on its own. I can't understand why anyone uses it.

It's basically GH flora micro + magnesium. Add a PK booster and you basically have a complete hydroponic formula. Not that I'm suggesting to do this.. It' a bit ridiculous of a product.

FP is already so high in calcium nitrate, I can't understand why anyone would need to add more. If anything, you'd think people would want straight up magnesium sulfate to balance the high levels of calcium.

FoliagePro is not high in calcium or magnesium. FP is 2.0% Ca and 0.5% Mg. FloraNova Grow, for instance, is 4.0% Ca and 1.5% Mg. If your tap water is soft, then FP will come out low in Ca and Mg relative to academic recommendations for hydro tomatoes. Everyone's water, genotypes, and media are different, however.

Most people have no idea that you can supplement calcium and magnesium with household stuff like epsom salts and gypsum. Botanicare rakes it in because they got lucky with the name "CalMag."

The calcium in tap water comes from calcium carbonate which can not be utilized by plants. That being said, if your plant food contains calcium and magnesium in an acceptable ratio then your plants are likely getting plenty of both elements.

Good point. My mistake there. I didn't realize FP was so high in ammonium nitrate to get it's N so high. Usually hydroponic formulas use calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate, and nitric acid to get N up, and thus a high N usually means high calcium as well. Knowing that, FloraNova grow seems like a more suitable choice for DWC than FP in the first place. Too much ammonium in DWC will cause glossy green and clawing and antagonized potassium since they're both +1 charge.

FP seems like a better choice for drain to waste setups.
