Oh yeah 4 sure. What week? Sorry if I missed it. I am sure they will get bigger bro. :) great work
The added Cal/Mag, Aquashield, Big Bud and Bud Candy. Ya they turned nice and dark green again and standing very firm. The buds are stopped Growing right now so in a day maybe two they will start again and get fat(I hope). They look great Nice yellow hair's, lime green buds and a lot of tri's and they don't smell much when undisturbed but touch them and thats all you smell in the tent.
The Kush is in full flower mode right now and starting to stretch but not taller but more lateral. They too benefited from the extra nutes and are getting nice and dark green again. I don't think they're going to get much taller(same as all the rest of the grows).
They all look good since I gave them the extra nutes and supplements and the defoliation on all eight plants is as in the past doing wonders for them.

Looking really nice Popcorn, as usual. Nice pruning job, they look happy and healthy.
I really didn't want to cut up the kush but they looked so yellow under the canopy. They love it though just like the last crop.
Btw nice to hear from you. I wonder when lime is going to make an appearance.

Been on vacation for the last week and half, glad to be back. I got sick 2 days into the trip, still have a sinus infection.

Yeah, it was hard to bring myself to "prune" the JillyBean too. She is also doing great though.

Hope all is well with lime, haven't seen him for a while...

Here is some new pics of the Kush. They are looking much better now since I defoliated and am using full strength nutes and supplements. They are getting there dark green back and the flowers are now starting to pop up everywhere. Looking good. The biggest one is 3 foot 9 and the smallest is 3 foot 2.photo 1 - Copy.JPGphoto 1.JPG photo 2 - Copy.JPG photo 2.JPG photo 3 - Copy.JPG photo 3.JPG photo 4 - Copy.JPG photo 4.JPG photo 5.JPG
The Diesel is growing again(I said in a day or two and I was right)and it looks like I will be getting some big buds from them as well. I will post pics in a day or two just so the difference will be easily noticed.

Some new pics of the Kush. Flowering nicely. Remember how yellow they were before I defoliated? Well now they are green again and filling in with new fans fast.

And some of the Diesel. My friends basement flooded and killed her plants so I gave her my runt. So the three remaining are happy with the extra room and light:

Had nothing to do today so I put the hood in the Kush tent right to the top. The tall one's don't have much room left but I think they won't get any taller.

Lmao, who said u were a rookie

?!! They awta be ashamed...
I think my next grow with these seeds(NYC Diesel)will produce much better results. I usually grow Kush and the Diesel was my first grow that was different in years. Also my next grows will be alot different as I just can't stand these tall plants. I want to do scrog, Just getting all the stuff I need. I think 4 plants in each tent(DWC in one and Aeroponic in the other)topped twice should fill the tent nice and evenly. Also I was looking at getting full spectrum bulbs for my next grows as HPS alone causes a lot of stretch(Any ideas?).
Btw thx for the compliment.

Looking good Popcorn, I hope you don't see any more stretch out of them but you should be ok with that air cooled hood.
I have read that some people use MH for the first 3 weeks or so of flower to reduce stretch then switch to HPS. Also have read good things about the new CMH HID bulbs. There is some debate about if they produce the same yield and they are more expensive. Maybe a hybrid approach, run CMH for first 3 weeks flower then HPS?

I am not an expert on it, just sharing what I have read.

I was thinking of getting a couple of these:

The Kush isn't stretching much now(I think there done). Speaking of kush here is some new pics. There getting nice looking size buds.

Looking sweet, I like how you ride the edge on feeding. The tips are definitely saying they have enough nutes but at the same time they look super healthy and happy. I try for the same thing, though it is tougher for me running more strains. They all need a different amount of feeding. I didn't even know they made a combo MH&HPS bulb, that looks like a nice upgrade. Awsome that it can be run in a HPS ballast... I will consider that when I hit my next bulb replacement.

Nice, what do they smell like?
The Kush never smelled that much at all even when it is near done but the Diesel if you touch one thats all you will smell in the tent. The Diesel smells like kerosene, orange and pine it also smells very sweet. The Kush also has a sweet smell but they also have a very distinctive and familiar Kush smell.

@Cascadian.
I grew in basements for a while and I used these bulbs:

They just have an etxra 30% blue or something like that and they worked great as a full grow bulb. As an experiment I went and put a 70w MH(satellite) in the middle of the Kush tent on the floor shooting up. So if it does anything at all I will be convinced and go ahead and buy those dual arc's I posted earlier.

Thanks, that looks like a nice bulb. I have a 600W ballast though, and it looks like they don't make a 600 version. I do also have a 400W HPS ballast that needs a new bulb. Might be a good option for supplemental lighting in the winter when the tent will stay cool enough for both lights (both are open hoods).

Pretty sure it says it's 600w. I too have a couple of 600's, a 1000 and 4 400w and a shit load of these yard lights lol. I never worried much about heat when I use the MH bulbs as they don't put out that much heat. That sun agro I used a long time ago at 430w got 3 times hotter than my 600w MH. But if you plan on running both hoods then why don't you just put a super red in the 600 and a super blue in the 400?.
