how do you keep your plants short?

other than dwarfs/auto flowering plants, how does one keep their plants short? like
short but wide?

This girl was vegged under an 400w MH in cool tube. Light was kept as close a possible.
She was only vegged for 5 weeks.
She was topped at the 4th node.
All branches were tied down and out.
She's only 60cm (24") high but also 60cm wide.

Week 5 at 18/6 just before she was put into flower.

Day 38 at 12/12.

bushmaster is a very good additive for keeping plants short and bushy

Make sure that green growth in the yard stays green during the summer grow months, otherwise, if it dies off, healthy green MJ plants are going to stick out like dogs balls.
You can train MJ to grow any way you want.
In that sort of environment you could grow a 6ft plant along the ground, in the middle of those weeds, and know one would ever know it was there.

you can tie a fishin weight to the top
