how do you connect a reservoir to an aeroponics system

title says it all, i have an aeroponic system with 6 plants, and wanted to separate the system and the reservoir, so how do I connect a separate reservoir to my actual system? i am using a drip system, so i am off to go buy one, that will work with a outside res.
