How Do You Add Images To Sig's?

how do u add images to sig's? I was wanting to use a smiley from a diff site via a url and image tags but it wont work. how do u add an image to a sig on RIU?

yea but that wont work for this case.. I wanted to add this smiley on the ends of my "ATTENTION" part of my sig like the other "finger" ones are now ( i like this one better lol ) ..but I tried it that way and it wont work right..

maybe im just "not holding my mouth right" as my uncle used to say lol ( RIP Uncle Ray .. Miss ya man).. He'd say that for anything.. We'd go fishing or w/e and i'd be like.. "Damn I cant catch shit"... And he'd be like "Your not holding ur mouth right" lol. Funny, that saying doesnt convert to type well .. Oh well, guess ya had to be there lol.
