man you can talk, alot !! but some good info, i like the asprin one, seems like it works on the stems too.

What is it with that stuff ? does it put weight the on buds ? or just harden them.

even this strain dependent ?

It`s a plant hormone... ever hear of "willow water" using willow tree twigs to make water for making clones ? that`s one of the uses of aspirin, I read somewhere ages ago it makes flowers get harder

Then RM3 mentioned to me that he uses it to get a SAR response from his plant (like they are being attacked by bugs)

From what I understand it allows the plant to mobilize more nutes and mobilize more from its leaves to its buds that`s why it helps yellow leaves faster and make buds harder sometimes bigger too

I only used it once about 3 to 4 weeks before chop just about the time I start feeding mostly potassium sulphate or dextrose

but if you don`t have anything to encourage root growth it can be used during veg/cloning probably not the most effective thing for that now days but if you have it you have it

So where, how much cost, how much use, what not to do, the time to use, the time :P, and can you lend me the money to buy sum ?

 seriously tho, without googling through all the doe's and dont's, in short .... can i use my moms headache tablets from the cupboards ? i thinking not, but sure an old hippie will come across this thread saying "i been using aspirin from walmarts 97years!!, never did me any harm!!""

cupboard stuff ? or real pure chemist stuff in gram bags that sort of stuff ?

I missed this comment earlier! Cool, I didnt know that you composted!!! There are plenty of old heads on here still using Espoma, I think that the compost part is the more important factor here, not amendments...

Edit: I was trying to make up for my earlier comment about Espoma. There is a lot of people with more exp than me still using it.
I use espoma. You can catch it on amazon for cheap. I got the last bag for 8 or 9 bucks for a 10 pound bag.

Espoma has bags of Potash. Just push that while you're in flower. Apply with weekly waterings I imagine? I've never had to push it too hard or even use it much. My soil usually has plenty of potassium.

yeah dissolve any aspirin in some water around 1g to 5g per gallon seems to do the trick it depends on the strain and how much leaf you want the plant to suck up

I find 2.5g in a gal with some potassium sulphate and on your average plant you feed it once and see an effect over 2/3 weeks, feed 5g per gal and in 1 to 2 weeks the plant will much up its fan leaves and such

You only need to feed it once or twice max, and I only do it like atleast 5 weeks into flower, you want to do it 2 to 4 weeks before finish, if your buds are still too soft

so this asprin is well known and used for the hard nugs ?

it's new to me. you seem like it's the norm.

Most known for inducing a SAR response,,,,,,,,,,,

"Salicylic acid is the key component of aspirin that reduces inflammation and pain response in humans. In plants, researchers credit salicylic acid with triggering systemic acquired resistance (SAR), a kind of general readiness state that primes plant defenses against pending microbial or insect attack. Some describe it as boosting a plant’s immune system."

Some people use it, some people say it`s crazy, some people use boiling water some people say that`s crazy

If you do it right you get more bud, harder buds and less leaf as the leaf dies

but with some strains if you get the aspirin dosage too high you`ll have a lot of work trimming the plant

but the right amount and you lose the fan leaves and some of the bigger shade leaves and get harder buds that can frost up mega sometimes too

Yes I`ve been using it for a 2 years now I don`t use it on every plant but when I need harder nugs I use it or if I want a plant to "yellow" its leaves faster I use it

yea i understand that sar thingy.

interesting shit man !!

I read somewhere that it helps the plant move its mobile stored sugars and such easier

That`s why it can do 1 to 2 weeks "yellowing" in a few days

also why it can help with rooting as it means a plant can easier eat its leaves up and move them stored nutes/sugars to the buds or root zones

There`s a lot of research out there if you fancy a google and reading shit that makes your head spin, lol
